1. The Punjab Sports Department will host the “Khed Mela” starting on August 29.
◉ Punjab’s Sports Department will hold the Punjab Khed Mela.
◉ With the goal of identifying talent, creating a welcoming environment for sports, and raising public awareness of health, 30 sports will be played in six age groups for participants between the ages of 14 and 60.
◉ There will be competitions in the age groups of 25 to 40, 40 to 50, and 50 to 60 in addition to the previously held under-14, under-17, and 17 to 25 age groups.
◉ The Mela will take place from the block to the state level and begin on August 29 in honor of National Sports Day.
2. Savitri Jindal surpasses all other Asian women in wealth.

3. Mahtari Nyay Rath was introduced by the chief minister of Chhattisgarh to raise awareness of women’s rights.

4. Paytm was replaced by Mastercard as the BCCI’s title sponsor.
◉ All local and international cricket matches are now sponsored by Mastercard instead of Paytm, thanks to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

◉ According to the original conditions of the Paytm deal, Mastercard would allegedly be given the rights till 2023 and continue to get Rs 3.8 Crore for each match. While Paytm would be required to pay a re-assignment charge of about Rs. 16.3 Crore (5 percent of the original contract value) (Rs 326.8 Cr).

6. RBI has set a deadline of October 1 for card tokenization.

◉ The central bank announced two temporary solutions while emphasizing that beginning on October 1, no other party in the card transaction chain—aside from card issuers and card networks—shall keep CoF data.

7. Sanjay Arora will become the new commissioner of the Delhi Police.
