1. Microsoft joins the ONDC network as the first company.
◉ Microsoft has joined the government’s open network for digital commerce (ONDC) program, making it the first international technology company to do so.
◉ With its approach, the US-based technology giant hopes to provide social e-commerce or a group buying environment to the Indian market.
◉ It plans to promote social e-commerce to the Indian market through ONDC.
2. For weavers, Telangana established the “Nethanna Ku Bima” Scheme.
◉ The Telangana Government has introduced the “Nethanna Ku Bima” Scheme, an insurance program for the State’s handloom and power loom, weavers.
◉ KT Rama Rao, the Telangana Handlooms Minister, essentially introduced this program on the occasion of National Handloom Day.
◉ The insurance coverage program will be put into action in collaboration with LIC.
3. Cooperative onboarding was started by Amit Shah on the GeM platform.
◉ Onboarding of cooperatives on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) site has begun, according to Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
◉ With this change, cooperatives will be able to place orders through the GeM site just like other government customers, including central and state ministries, departments, public sector companies, independent organizations, and municipal bodies.
4. Mission Samudrayaan will drop people 6,000 meters under the ocean
◉ The Indian government will soon launch its massive ocean exploration project, known as “Samudrayaan,” in an effort to solve the riddles of the deep ocean’s core.
With the completion of this mission, India will join a select group of countries that include the US, ◉ Russia, Japan, France, and China and possess specialized equipment and vehicles for subsea operations.
◉ The Samudrayaan Mission aims to create a self-propelled manned submersible that can carry three people and a variety of research instruments to a depth of 6,000 meters in the ocean.

5. In order to set up, Indian Bank and SRM University-AP inked an MoU.
◉ To launch the “IND Spring Board,” Indian Bank has signed an MoU with Hatchlab Research Centre, TBI of SRM University-AP.
◉ It is a project to finance MSMEs and startups.
◉ The bank will provide up to Rs 50 crore in financial assistance to startups housed at SRM Hatchlab in order to meet their working capital needs.

◉ Pramod Kumar has been named the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.

◉ Pramod Kumar has 35 years of expertise in the electricity business, covering nearly every financial and accounting function, and is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

8. Manisha Kalyan and Sunil Chhetri were named AIFF Footballer of the Year
