1. CM of West Bengal introduces “Yogyasree” for SC/ST pupils.
◉ Mamata Banerjee, the chief minister of West Bengal, has introduced “Yogyasree,” a comprehensive social welfare program.
◉ The project intends to offer free training modules, with a focus on entrance and competitive exams, to West Bengali students who belong to Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST).
◉ To provide SC and ST students with free training for competitive exams, fifty centers would be built around the state.
◉ Similar to this, 46 centers will provide free training to SC and ST students who want to work in the government or civil service, among other fields.
2. Dharmendra Pradhan is present for the Kala Utsav inaugural ceremony.
◉ Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Minister for Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, was the honored guest at the Kala Utsav’s opening ceremony.
◉ Annapurna Devi, the Minister of State for Education, will also be the honored guest at the event.

4. ₹6.64 lakh crore worth of investment proposals are received by Tamil Nadu.
◉ With 631 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), Tamil Nadu has received an impressive commitment of over ₹6,64,180 crore in investment.
◉ At the end of the maiden Global Investors Meet (GIM 2024), held at Chennai Trade Center by the DMK administration, it would create about 27 lakh jobs across sectors.
◉ These investments are anticipated to create 26,90,657 jobs in total, comprising direct employment for 14,54,712 people and indirect employment for 12,35,945 people.
◉ Tata Power (₹70,800 crores), Adani Group (₹42,768 crores), Sembcorp (₹36,238 crores), Leap Green Energy Pvt. Ltd. (₹17,400 crores), and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (₹17,000 crores) were among the companies that put out some of the most ambitious investment ideas.
5. In 2023, Indian Railways plans to electrify 6,577 route kilometers.
◉ In the year 2023, Indian Railways completed 6,577 route kilometers of electrification.
Of the 65,556 km of Broad-Gauge routes, 61,508 km have been electrified as of December 2023, accounting for 93.83 percent of the total.
◉ To offer a more rapid, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible form of transportation, Indian Railways is rapidly completing the conversion of all Broad-Gauge tracks to electricity.
◉ By 2030, Indian Railways wants to hold the title of the largest green railway in the world.
