1. Indian Roads Congress was launched by Nitin Gadkari in Lucknow.
After 11 years, the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) held its 81st annual meeting in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
◉ The conference, which will take place at Lucknow’s Indira Gandi Pratishthan, will draw up to 1,500 people.
◉ Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, and Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, opened the meeting.
◉ More than 1,500 participants are present at the 81st “Indian Road Congress,” which is being hosted by Uttar Pradesh in Lucknow.

◉ To make SWIFT-based inward remittances easier and faster for its customers, ICICI Bank has introduced “Smart Wire,” a novel technology.
◉ The first bank in the nation to introduce such a service is ICICI Bank.
Both NRIs and resident customers will be able to conduct inbound remittance transactions digitally and without paper using the Smart Wire capability.
◉ With the help of the Smart Wire service, the beneficiary can request a wire transfer, upload declarations and other papers online, lock in exchange rates in advance, and monitor the progress of the transaction. To use the service, one must sign in to ICICI Bank’s internet banking platform.
