1. The 20th NTCA meeting in Arunachal Pradesh was headed by Bhupender Yadav.
◉ The National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) convened its 20th meeting at Pakke, Arunachal Pradesh, under the leadership of the Union Minister for Environment, Forests, and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav.
◉ Outside of the National Capital, the first-ever NTCA meeting was held in Arunachal Pradesh. A technical manual on MEE of Tiger Reserves in India, as well as standard operating procedures for tiger reintroduction and supplementation in the wild, a forest fire audit protocol for tiger reserves, and a standard operating procedure for tiger reintroduction and supplementation in the wild, were also released.
2. In Gujarat, Amit Shah inaugurated the Seema Darshan Project on the Indo-Pak border.

3. The Vikas Siri Sampat-111 scheme was introduced by the Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank.
◉ P Gopi Krishna, Chairman of Karnataka Vikas Grameena Bank, has announced the commencement of the bank’s new Vikas Siri Sampat-1111 deposit scheme.
◉ This scheme has a term of 1,111 days and a 5.70 percent interest rate for the general public and 6.20 percent for senior persons.
◉ It also has the greatest annualized rate of return, with 6.03 percent for the general public and 6.60 percent for seniors. The account holder can deposit anywhere between $10,000 and $2 crores under the scheme.

5. The Pinaka Mk-I (Enhanced) Rocket System was successfully tested by the DRDO and the Indian Army.
◉ At the Pokhran firing ranges, the Indian Army and the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully flight-tested a new version of the Pinaka rocket system.
◉ These rocket systems featured the Pinaka Mk-I (Enhanced) Rocket System (EPRS) and the Pinaka Area Denial Munition (ADM).
6. The Indian Coast Guard has commissioned an MK III squadron of modern light helicopters.
◉ In Bhubaneswar, Odisha, the Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has commissioned the latest Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH-Dhruv) MK-III squadron.
◉ In the presence of Indian Coast Guard Chief Virender Singh Pathania, ALH was commissioned. It will improve the force’s marine security capabilities throughout the West Bengal and Odisha coasts, as well as elsewhere.

7. China has successfully launched a new earth observation satellite called ‘Gaofen-3 03’.
◉ A Long March-4C rocket successfully launched a new Earth observation satellite named ‘Gaofen-3 03’ from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in China.
◉ By building a network with the orbiting Gaofen-3 and Gaofen-3 02 satellites, this will become part of its land-sea radar satellite constellation. It will also take pictures to aid China in defending its maritime claims.
8. “Kadam,” India’s first indigenously constructed polycentric prosthetic knee, was launched by IIT-Madras.
◉ The Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IIT-M) has introduced Kadam, India’s first indigenously developed polycentric prosthetic knee. The Above Knee Prosthesis was developed in collaboration with the Society for Biomedical Technology (SBMT) and Mobility India.
◉ Kadam will assist patients with above-knee amputations in walking with a more natural stride. Kadam includes three axes hinge joints for rotation, which provide the prosthesis more control and maximum knee flexion of 160 degrees, making it easier to sit in small environments like buses and automobiles.

9. Charles Leclerc of Ferrari won the Australian Grand Prix in 2022.
◉ The Formula One 2022 Australian Grand Prix was won by Charles Leclerc (Ferrari-Monaco) on 10 April 2022 in Melbourne, Victoria.
◉ The third round of the Formula One World Championship in 2022 was held. Second place went to Sergio Pérez (Red Bull Racing-RBPT – Mexico), while third place went to George Russell (Mercedes – United Kingdom).
10. At the Thailand Open Boxing Tournament 2022, India won 10 medals, including three gold.
◉ At the Thailand Open International Boxing Tournament 2022 in Phuket, the 15-member Indian boxing contingent finished with 10 medals, including three golds, four silvers, and three bronzes.
◉ Gold medalists received USD 2000, while silver and bronze medalists received USD 1000 and USD 500, respectively. The event featured 130 best boxers from Asia, Europe, Oceania, and Africa, with 74 males and 56 girls competing.
11. Dipika Pallikal and Saurav Ghosal won the first-ever gold medal in the World Squash Federation World Doubles Squash Championships in 2022.
◉ Dipika Pallikal Karthik and Saurav Ghosal, the second-seeded Indian combination, won the mixed doubles title at the 2022 WSF World Doubles Squash Championship in Glasglow, Scotland.
◉ In the mixed doubles finals, the Indian team thrashed the fourth-seeded English pair of Adrian Waller and Alison Waters in straight sets 11-6, 11-8. This is India’s first gold medal at the World Squash Federation World Doubles Squash Championship, which the country has never won before.
