1. The number of tigers in India has increased to 3,167.
◉ According to data from the most recent Tiger census, which was made public by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the number of big cats in the nation rose by 200 in just four years, from 2,967 in 2018 to 3,167 in 2019.
◉ In Mysuru, Karnataka, where he released a report on the “Status of Tigers, India 2022,” Prime Minister Modi expressed his pride in Project Tiger’s extraordinary achievements over its 50-year history.
◉ India contributes roughly 8% of the known global biodiversity while having only about 2.4 percent of the world’s territory. India is also the nation with the greatest tiger range on the planet. India also boasts the biggest range of Asiatic elephants, with roughly 30,000 of them.
2. Sanjeevani Project was started in Himachal Pradesh.
◉ The Himachal Pradesh government has started a new project called “Sanjeevani” to make sure that livestock receives high-quality care in a timely way and that farmers are spared the extra costs associated with traveling to the site of care in order to obtain high-quality medications.
◉ The on-demand veterinarian services will offer curative therapy, immunizations, artificial insemination, preventive care, and all knowledge pertaining to animal husbandry.

4. Opening of the World Homoeopathic Convention by Jagdeep Dhankhar
◉ On the occasion of World Homoeopathic Day, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar opened the scientific convention in New Delhi.
◉ The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy, an agency of the Ministry of AYUSH, organized the Convention.
◉ According to the World Health Organization, homeopathy is the second-largest and fastest-expanding medical system in the world with a presence in more than 80 nations.
◉ The anniversary of the birth of Dr. Christian Fredrich Samuel Hahnemann, the creator of homeopathy, is commemorated every year on April 10th.

5. Aam Aadmi Party receives national recognition

6. In Arunachal Pradesh, Amit Shah introduced the program for vibrant villages.
◉ The “Vibrant Villages Program” has been introduced at Kibithoo, a border village in the Arunachal Pradesh district of Anjaw, by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
◉ Additionally, he has officially opened nine Micro Hydel Projects in Kibithoo that were built by the AP government as part of the “Golden Jubilee Border Illumination Programme.”

◉ The critically endangered Asian king vulture now has a state-of-the-art Jatayu Conservation and Breeding Center (JCBC), the first facility of its kind in the entire world, thanks to Uttar Pradesh.
◉ It spans 1.5 hectares and is situated in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district.
◉ To preserve a viable population of the species, the center’s goal is to produce king vultures in captivity and release them into the wild.
