1. UP becomes the first state to have 13 expressways in the nation.
◉ The nation’s first state to have 13 expressways is Uttar Pradesh.
◉ Six of the total 13 are in use, with the remaining nine being built. (A distance of 3,200 kilometers overall)
◉ On July 16, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the 296-kilometer Bundelkhand Expressway, establishing a direct link between Bundelkhand and Delhi.
2. Meghalaya will spend $300 million on early education initiatives.
◉ Conrad K. Sangma, the chief minister of Meghalaya, declared that the government has set aside Rs 300 crore from projects receiving outside assistance for investments in early childhood education programs.
◉ The DERT’s construction is thought to have cost a total of Rs 8.33 crore.
◉ The government has developed a plan for investing in early childhood education initiatives.
3. In Varanasi, PM Modi opened the Akshaya Patra Mid-Day Meal Kitchen.

◉ The kitchen will provide food for over one lakh children in an effort to prevent them from missing out on an education due to poverty. It is run by the Akshaya Patra Foundation (APF), which also oversees one of the largest school feeding programs in the world in partnership with the government’s Pradhan Mantri Poshan Shakti Nirman (PM POSHAN) program.
◉ The APF will be able to feed nearly 1 lakh students in 282 Varanasi schools thanks to its centralized kitchen. It is the fifth kitchen in Uttar Pradesh and Akshaya Patra’s 62nd overall.

◉ According to ISRO (Indian Space Research Organisation), the IS40M system was built with a complete approach to ensure the safety and sustainability of the space environment while enjoying the advantages of sustainable use of space for national development.

Benefits included with the paid account provided by Axis Bank include personal accidental coverage of up to Rs. 56 lakh, a benefit for total and permanent disability of Rs. 46 lakh, and a cover for air accidents of Rs. 1 crore, among others.
8. RBI fined Federal Bank and Bank of India for violating regulatory requirements
