1. Odisha CM signaled the departure of 181 mobile veterinarians
◉ Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, has flagged off 181 Mobile Veterinary units to treat animals in the state.
◉ The Mobile Veterinary vehicles have the “Mukhyamntri Bhramyaman Pranichikitsa Seva” flag flying over them.
◉ Through the Animal Helpline, the mobile veterinary units will offer stray and abandoned animals immediate veterinary care as needed.
2. A worldwide biofuels alliance was launched by PM Modi at the G20 conference in New Delhi.
◉ The Global Biofuel Alliance was introduced by India at the G20 conference in New Delhi.
◉ On the eve of the conference, Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially announced the coalition.
◉ At the event were US President Joe Biden, President Alberto Fernández of Argentina, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina of Bangladesh, President Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore, and President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil.
◉ The Global Biofuel Alliance is an initiative spearheaded by India to create a coalition of governments, international organizations, and businesses to promote the use of biofuels.
◉ The project intends to promote biofuels as essential to the energy transition and as an engine of job creation and economic expansion. India will gain from the initiative in a number of ways.
3. The government of Telangana collaborates with Tabreed on cooling infrastructure
◉ The Telangana government has teamed up with Tabreed, a UAE-based global leader in cooling utilities, to create cooling infrastructure for business and industrial parks.
◉ Hyderabad Pharma City will invest USD 200 million to build 1,25,000 RT (refrigeration tonnes) of district cooling plants.
◉ Goal: To assist in saving 6,800 GWh of energy and 41,600 megalitres of water. It also has the ability to lower peak electricity consumption by more than 200 MW.
◉ The largest district cooling system in Asia will be located in Telangana, creating the necessary cooling infrastructure for industrial parks.

4. Bhutan offers all residents a self-sovereign national digital ID.
◉ All of Bhutan’s people now have access to a self-sovereign national digital ID that is enabled by blockchain technology.
◉ Druk Holding and Investments, the Bhutanese government’s commercial and investment arm, developed the cutting-edge national digital identity system.
◉ The National Digital ID is the framework that allows for 100% assurance in the digitization and online services of banks, hospitals, tax administration, and colleges.
◉ It is predicted that the new system will act as the framework for the full digitization of the nation’s services.

5. SBI Card upgrades the AURUM ultra-premium credit card with new features.
◉ The largest credit card issuer in India, SBI Card, has introduced new features for its ultra-premium card, “AURUM,” which is aimed at the affluent segment of society.
◉ AURUM cardholders will now be able to take advantage of advantages of up to Rs 2 lakh per year, depending on their spending, thanks to the improvements.
◉ The card entitles cardholders to unrestricted access to international lounges as well as four visits for accompanying guests.
◉ The card also comes with a complimentary one-year membership to Club Marriott as a welcome bonus.
6. To address MSMEs’ demands for short-term lending, SBI Card has introduced a credit card.
◉ To meet their needs for short-term borrowing, credit card issuer SBI Card has introduced the Simply SAVE Merchant SBI Card for MSMEs.
◉ The card, which is available on the RuPay network, can be used to make payments using a variety of third-party apps that support UPI.
◉ By providing MSMEs with short-term, interest-free borrowing, the SimplySAVE Merchant SBI Card is an attempt to reach this growing group.
7. In over 6,000 ATMs, the Bank of Baroda has enabled UPI ATM functionality.
◉ Over 6,000 ATMs nationwide now have the UPI ATM feature enabled by the government-owned Bank of Baroda (BoB).
◉ In collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and using NCR Corporation technology, it is the first public sector bank to introduce UPI ATMs.
clients can use any UPI-enabled mobile app to withdraw cash from Bank of Baroda UPI ATMs without requiring a debit card, including clients of any participating issuer banks.
◉ The UPI ATM allows for frictionless QR-based cash withdrawals using the Interoperable Cardless Cash Withdrawal (ICCW) technology, eliminating the need to carry a Card when withdrawing cash.

◉ As part of its leader Kim Jong Un’s strategy to build a nuclear-armed navy to compete with the United States and its Asian allies, North Korea has launched its first operational “tactical nuclear attack submarine”.
◉ Kim oversaw the Wednesday launch of submarine No. 841, which was given the name Hero Kim Kun Ok in honor of a notable North Korean historical figure.
◉ The submarine “heralded the beginning of a new chapter” for North Korea’s navy” and was built to launch tactical nuclear warheads from underwater.

10. ‘Mashaal’ is introduced by the governor of Goa. 38th National Games
◉ ‘Mashaal’ for the 37th National Games 2023 was introduced in a ceremony held in Donapaula’s Durbar Hall Raj Bhavan by Goa Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai.
◉ Goa will host the 37th National Games from October 25 to November 9, 2023.
◉ The Governor also unveiled the national games’ anthem, or theme song, which was performed by actor Amitabh Bachchan.
◉ He emphasized the anticipated nationwide participation in this important event as well as the possible benefit to Goa’s tourism industry.
