1. NTPC releases the most recent Girl Child Empowerment Mission (GEM) version.
◉ A new iteration of NTPC Limited’s well-known CSR program, Girl Child Empowerment Mission (GEM), has been introduced.
◉ This initiative is in line with the Government of India’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child) effort.
◉ GEM wants to encourage girls’ creativity. Additionally, to eradicate gender disparity by encouraging their capacity for opportunity exploration.
◉ During summer holidays, Girl Child Empowerment Mission offers a month-long course that gives young girls a platform for their holistic growth.
2. An agreement for technical and knowledge cooperation on critical minerals is signed by KABIL and CSIR-IMMT.
◉ A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Technical and Knowledge Collaboration for Critical Minerals has been signed between Khanij Bidesh India Limited (KABIL) and the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research – Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (CSIR-IMMT).
◉ As per the Memorandum of Understanding, KABIL will utilize the CSIR-IMMT’s technical proficiency and services for a range of projects, such as creating and evaluating process flowsheets, choosing process technologies for metal extraction, mineral processing, and beneficiation, and designing and analyzing metallurgical test work plans.
3. The first international automaker to export electric vehicles (EVs) from India is Citroën.
◉ The first multinational automaker in India to sell locally produced electric automobiles to other markets was the French automaker Citroën.
◉ The first 500 Citroën ë-C3s made in India were ceremoniously flagged off at Kamarajar Port on their way to Indonesia.
