1. Kerala inaugurates India’s First Carbon Neutral Farm.
◉ Kerala A seed farm in Aluva has been dubbed the nation’s first carbon-neutral farm by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
◉ The seed farm under the Agricultural Department has become carbon-neutral thanks to a significant decrease in carbon emissions.
◉ The Thuruthu farm in Aluva produced 213 tonnes of carbon in total but only 43 tonnes of it was emitted over the course of the previous year.
2. The government of Meghalaya established Asia’s first drone delivery hub.
◉ Asia’s first drone delivery hub and network have been presented by the Meghalayan government in collaboration with company TechEagle.
◉ The initiative aims to use a dedicated drone delivery network to quickly and safely deliver essential commodities like medicines, diagnostic tests, vaccines, blood, and blood components to various locations in the state.
◉ From Jengjal Sub Divisional Hospital, the first authorized drone flight took off.
3. First G20 Finance Track meeting to be held in Bengaluru
◉ The G20 Finance Track’s inaugural gathering will take place in Bengaluru while India holds the G20 Presidency.
◉ The First G20 Finance and Central Bank Deputies Meeting is slated to take place in Bengaluru from December 13–15, 2022, according to the Union Ministry of Finance.
◉ The Reserve Bank of India and the Union Finance Ministry will co-host it.
◉ The summit will include all 20 of the G-20’s finance and central bank representatives.
4. International Airport of Mopa Goa was renamed after Manohar Parrikar, and the first phase of the international airport at Mopa in north Goa was opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ He gave the airport Manohar Parrikar’s name, the late chief minister of Goa and former minister of defense of the Union. In March 2019, Mr. Parrikar passed away.
◉ In addition to the existing airport in Dabolim, which is run as a city enclave from Indian military air station INS Hansa, the Mopa airport in North Goa is the second international airport in the coastal state.
◉ PM Modi laid the cornerstone for the airport at Mopa in 2016.
5. The sixth Vande Bharat train was flagged off by PM Modi in Maharashtra.
◉ India’s sixth Vande Bharat Express between Bilaspur (Chattisgarh) and Nagpur (Maharashtra) has been launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ Eknath Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways, joined PM Modi in flagging off the train at the Nagpur railway station.
