1. In Chhattisgarh, PM Modi introduces the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.
◉ In Chhattisgarh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the Mahtari Vandan Yojana.
◉ The Chhattisgarh initiative has been introduced to give eligible married women in the state monthly DBT financial support of Rs 1000.
◉ It has been intended to guarantee women’s financial security, economic empowerment, and gender equality, and to reinforce women’s leadership roles in the home.
◉ Benefits under the system will be extended to all married women in the state who meet the eligibility requirements and turn 21 by January 1, 2024.
2. Tags Are Awarded for Manuscript Painting and Majuli Mask Making
◉ Geographical Indication (GI) tags have been awarded to Majuli, an island district in Assam, for its mask-making and manuscript painting.
◉ The origins of Majuli’s Mukha Shilpa can be traced to Srimanta Sankardev, who conveyed Bhakti through the arts.
◉ The craft of creating masks, known as “Mukha Shilpa” in Majuli, has been practiced on the island since the sixteenth century. The most well-known traditional craft still being performed on Majuli, the biggest populated river island in the world, is this one.
◉ A fundamental component of Assamese “Sattriya” culture is “Mukha Shilpa.”
3. Kathua to Host North India’s First Government Homoeopathic College
◉ Union Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, announced the opening of the first Government Homoeopathic College in North India in the Jasrota neighborhood of the Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.
◉ The initiative, which has national funding of Rs 80 crore, represents a major advancement in the region’s infrastructure development for healthcare and education.
◉ A hospital complex, a college, an administration block, and separate dorms for male and female students are all part of the proposed construction.
◉ The open area will be used in the future to build a playground, auditorium, etc.
4. Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain 2024 was introduced by the Jal Shakti Ministry.
◉ The “Jal Shakti Abhiyan: Catch the Rain” campaign for 2024 has been started by the Union Minister for Jal Shakti, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.

6. Kishor Makwana takes over as NCSC Chairman
