1. The largest solar-BESS project in India is finished by Tata Power Solar in Chhattisgarh.
◉ In Rajnandgaon, Chhattisgarh, Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL), a division of Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), has finished the biggest solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) project in India.
◉ It consists of a 120 MWh Utility Scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and a 100 MW Solar PV Project.
◉ In December 2021, TPSSL was awarded a Rs 945 crore project by SECI, which it will manage from engineering to construction to commissioning.
◉ In line with India’s renewable energy ambitions, the project is expected to produce 243.53 million energy units annually and reduce carbon emissions by 4.87 million tonnes over 25 years.
2. GCF grants SIDBI $24.5 million for the “Avaana” fund.
◉ The Green Climate Fund (GCF) has awarded $24.5 million to the Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for its first anchoring project, the $120 million Avaana Sustainability Fund (ASF).
◉ The world’s largest climate fund, GCF, is a key element of the historic Paris Agreement.
◉ The principal objective of the ASF initiative is to provide funding to nascent enterprises that are utilizing technology-driven innovation to promote sustainability and climate solutions in India.
3. Prime Minister Modi unveils 15 airport projects.
◉ The renovated Terminal 1 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, which is valued at approximately Rs. 9,800 crore, is one of the fifteen airport projects that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has officially opened.
◉ The twelve new terminal buildings for the airports in Pune, Kolhapur, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Delhi, Lucknow, Aligarh, Azamgarh, Chitrakoot, Moradabad, Shravasti, and Adampur were part of the project that the prime minister essentially announced during an event in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh.
◉ Furthermore, new terminal buildings at the airports in Hubballi, Belagavi, and Kadapa were dedicated with foundation stones, indicating a major improvement in India’s aviation infrastructure.
4. MoRD and IIT Delhi collaborate in the fields of artificial intelligence and geographic technology.
◉ To formally establish their collaboration in the use of artificial intelligence and geospatial technologies, the Ministry of Rural Development and the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi have signed an MOU.
◉ The HydroSense lab, under the direction of Manabendra Saharia, will carry out the research.

5. Government of Tamil Nadu introduces “Neengal Nalama” Scheme
◉ The Neengal Nalama Scheme was introduced by the Tamil Nadu State government to raise public awareness of Tamil Nadu government programs and enhance the health and social well-being of all citizens.
◉ Under this project, government representatives would contact recipients all around the state to find out about any problems or obstacles they had when using different Tamil Nadu government programs.

◉ State Bank of India has awarded the Mumbai-based tech startup Aurionpro Solutions a Rs 100-crore contract for the licensing, setup, and upkeep of its transaction banking platform, iCashpro+.
