1. ‘Eat Right Station’ awards Bhopal Railway Station a 4-star rating.
◉ Bhopal Railway Station has received a 4-star “Eat Right Station” certification from the Cuisine Safety and Standard Association of India (FSSAI) for serving “high-quality, healthy food to passengers.”
◉ After being rated on a scale of 1 to 5 for food storage and hygiene practices by an FSSAI-appointed third-party audit agency, railroad stations are given the certificate.
◉ In September 2021, Chandigarh Railway Station became the fifth railway station in India to be certified as an “Eat Right Station” with a 5-star rating.
2. South India’s first Vande Bharat Express train is flagged off by the PM.
◉ The Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express has departed from Bengaluru’s Kranthiveera Sangolli Rayanna (KSR) Railway Station under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ This is the first Vande Bharat Express in south India and the sixth overall.
◉ It would improve communication between Chennai, a major industrial hub, Bengaluru, a tech and startup cluster, and Mysuru, a well-known tourism destination.
◉ At the KSR train station, PM Modi also flagged off the Bharat Gaurav Kashi Darshan Train.
3. India and Cambodia agreed to cooperate in the fields of culture, biodiversity, and health.
◉ Hun Sen, the prime minister of Cambodia, and vice president Jagdeep Dhankhar have exchanged four Memorandums of Understanding in the fields of health, wildlife, and culture.
◉ One of these was in the area of health and medicine and involved the Ministries of Health and Family Welfare of India and Cambodia.
◉ Regarding the reintroduction of tigers in Cambodia, the second MoU was signed.
◉ The third Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the area of research, development, and use of technology for digital documentation of cultural heritage was signed by IIT Jodhpur and the Institute of Technology Cambodia.
4. A 108-foot statue was unveiled by PM Modi in Bengaluru.
◉ In Bengaluru, Sri Nadaprabhu Kempegowda features a 108-foot-tall bronze statue that was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ To honor the contributions of Bengaluru’s founder, Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, the “Statue of Prosperity” was erected.
◉ 98 tonnes of bronze and 120 tonnes of steel were used to create this statue, which was conceptualized and sculpted by Ram V Sutar, who is also known for the Statue of Unity.
5. The Green Energy Open Access Portal was launched by R K Singh.
◉ To increase the country’s use of renewable energy, Union Power Minister RK Singh has introduced the Green Energy Open Access platform.
◉ The portal will make it possible for electricity users with sanctioned loads of 100 kW or more to obtain renewable energy.
◉ Under the new system, any consumer with a sanctioned load of at least 100 kW can obtain renewable energy from any renewable energy generating plant set up by himself or by any developer through an open access portal.

6. India’s growth prediction for 2022 is decreased by Moody’s to 7% from 7.7%.
◉ Worldwide rating agency India’s economic growth is expected to expand by only 7% in 2022, down from an earlier projection of 7.7% by Moody’s Investors Service.
◉ Reason: Because of the environment’s tightening monetary policy, the monsoon’s uneven distribution, increasing inflation, and the world’s declining economic development.
◉ India’s growth projections for 2022 have been lowered by Moody’s Investors Service twice in as many months.
◉ It had decreased the projected growth rate for 2022 from 8.8% in May to 7.7% in September.

13. RL Kashyap, a well-known mathematician, passed away.
◉ The famous mathematician and outstanding scholar Shri RL Kashyap, recipient of the Padma Shri Award, passed away.
◉ About 25,000 Sanskrit mantras were translated into English by RL Kashyap.
Because of his significant contributions to the realms of science and technology, Kashyap has won numerous international honours. In addition, Kashyap published more than 250 scholarly publications.
◉ For thirty years, RL Kashyap was a professor in Purdue University’s Department of Electrical and Computers.
