India and the US have decided to establish a new education group to further strengthen cooperation in the field of education and skill development through joint collaborations and promote student and scholar mobility to build people-to-people linkages.

U.S. President Joe Biden announced an additional USD 800 million in military assistance to Ukraine, expanding the scope of the systems provided to include heavy artillery ahead of a wider Russian assault expected in eastern Ukraine. The package brings the total military aid since Russian forces invaded in February to more than $2.5 billion.

The data released by the National Statistical Office (NSO) showed that the retail inflation rate rose to 6.95 percent in March from a year ago, remaining above the tolerance limit of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) for the third straight month. Food and oil prices push inflation to a 17-month high.
