3. RBI Starts a Campaign to Resolve Unclaimed Deposits in 100 Days
◉ In order to locate and resolve unclaimed deposits in each district of the nation, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has announced the beginning of a unique 100-day campaign.
◉ Banks will track down and pay their top 100 unclaimed deposits in each region as part of the program, which will start on June 1, 2023.
◉ The action aims to lessen the number of unclaimed deposits in the banking system and give those deposits back to their proper owners.
