1. A joint statement on migration and mobility was signed by Finland and India.
◉ In order to reach a mutually advantageous agreement on migration and mobility between the two nations, India and Finland have signed a joint statement of intent.

◉ The new regulations also prohibit the sale of tobacco to anyone who was born on or after January 1, 2009; violators are subject to fines of up to NZ$150,000 ($95,910).

4. The majority ownership of Nainital Bank by the state-owned Bank of Baroda (BoB) has been offered for sale.
◉ The bank’s board of directors has authorized the sale of the majority of its shares in Nainital Bank Limited (NBL) as well as the publishing of advertising requesting interested parties to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) through a Preliminary Information Memorandum (PIM) (IPs).
◉ Currently, the bank owns 98.57% of Nainital Bank Limited’s entire equity share capital.
5. WPI Inflation fell to 5.85%, a 21-month low. October 2022
◉ Data from the Commerce Ministry show that the Wholesale Price Inflation (WPI) for November 2022 dropped to 5.85% from 8.39% in October 2022, a 21-month low.
◉ When compared to the same month last year, the prices of food items, basic metals, textiles, chemicals & chemical products, and paper & paper products all decreased. These price decreases were the main contributors to the rate of inflation in November 2022.
◉ Compared to the previous month, when food prices increased by 8.33 percent, inflation in November was only 1.07 percent.

8. Afghanistan-India joint military drill Beginning at Umroi, Meghalaya, KAZIND 2022
◉ The sixth installment of the joint training exercise “KAZIND-22” between India and Kazakhstan begins in Umroi, Meghalaya, from December 15 to December 28, 2022.
◉ Exercise Prabal Dostyk, a yearly joint training exercise with the Kazakhstan Army, was established in 2016. In 2018, it was raised to a company-level exercise and given the new name Ex Kazind.
