1. The 10th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia.
◉ From November 16–17, 2023, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will make an official visit to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, to attend the 10th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting–Plus (ADMM–Plus).
◉ Rajnath Singh will attend bilateral talks with the defense ministers of the participating 18 nations to address defense cooperation issues and further expand mutually beneficial engagements on the fringes of ADMM-Plus, the highest defense consultative and cooperative forum in ASEAN.
◉ With the purpose of enhancing security and defense cooperation, the ASEAN member states (Bhutan, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam) and its eight dialogue partners (India, US, China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand) can collaborate through the ADMM-Plus.
2. Meghalaya started a campaign called “Food Security” to end hunger.
◉ The goal of Meghalaya’s “Food Security” Campaign is to attain Sustainable Development Goal 2, “Zero Hunger,” by raising public awareness of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013.

◉ The Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has activated the portal aaina.gov.in known as the “AAINA Dashboard for Cities.”
◉ Through an easy-to-fill data input form on the portal, Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) nationwide can take part in this innovative effort by voluntarily submitting their data on a regular basis.
◉ The main goals of the AAINA Dashboard are to assist cities in (i) assessing their performance in comparison to other cities, (ii) motivating them by highlighting opportunities and areas for development, and (iii) offering a chance to interact and learn from frontrunners.

◉ According to the Othering and Belonging Institute (OBI) at California University, India is ranked 117th out of 129 countries in the world in terms of inclusivity.
◉ For the second year in a row, New Zealand topped the ranking. Portugal finished in second place, which was their highest performance, with the Netherlands coming in third.
◉ India was ranked lower than smaller nations like Israel (115) and Bangladesh (106).
