1. ‘Vaishali Festival of Democracy’ was held in Bihar by ICCR.
◉ The “Vaishali Festival of Democracy” organized by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) at Bihar’s Nalanda University showcases India’s rich democratic heritage.
◉ On Friday, September 15, which is also International Day of Democracy, the festival, called the “Vaishali Festival of Democracy,” will take place.
◉ The university was chosen by the ICCR as the location because of its importance to Bihar, the nation’s democratic values, and the presence of a large international audience.

2. The Maharashtra Governor officially opened the fourth World Trade Expo.

7. RBI updates the standards for how banks must value their investments.
◉ Revisions to the Reserve Bank of India’s classification, valuation, and operation standards for commercial banks’ investment portfolios will take effect on April 1st, 2024.
◉ From the start of the following fiscal year, banks must divide their investments into three categories: available for sale (AFS), held to maturity (HTM), and a new category known as “fair value through profit and loss,” or FVTPL.
