1. PM speaks at All India Primary Teachers’ Federation’s 29th Biennial Conference in Gandhinagar
◉ The 29th Biennial Education Conference of the All India Primary Teacher’s Federation was held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, and featured remarks by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ The conference’s goal is to give primary teachers a forum where they may discuss issues in primary education, share their experiences, and collaborate.
◉ The conference covered topics like compensation structure, job security, working conditions, and professional recognition in addition to the welfare and rights of primary school teachers.
2. Doctors are required to have a unique ID by the National Medical Commission.
◉ A new decision adopted by the National Medical Commission mandates that all doctors in India obtain a Unique Identification Number (UID) in order to practise medicine.
◉ According to the new legislation, the NMC ethics board will generate the UID centrally, granting the practitioner NMR registration and the right to practise medicine in India.
◉ For all of the nation’s licenced physicians and medical professionals, there will be one central national medical register. The Ethics and Medical Registration Board (EMRB) of the NMC will uphold the same.
3. Amit Shah launches a legislative drafting training programme in New Delhi

8. The first polio death was reported in Afghanistan in 2023
◉ The first case of poliovirus year 2023 has been reported from Afghanistan. It was found in the province of Nangarhar by the nation’s health authorities.
◉ In the area, a four-year-old child has been diagnosed with polio, and up to two cases of the wild poliovirus have been discovered globally.
◉ In Afghanistan, there were a total of 56 cases of polio reported in 2020, and four cases were reported in 2021. Polio cases were detected twice last year. As a result, polio cases have been declining across the nation.
9. Speaking at the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Health Innovation in Japan was the Health Minister.
◉ Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, the Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare, spoke at the Nagasaki, Japan, G7 Health Ministerial meeting on Global Health Architecture.
