1. Operation Yatri Suraksha was launched by Indian Railways.
◉ Operation Yatri Suraksha, a national operation, has been started by the Indian Railway Protection Force (RPF).
◉ Several actions are made as part of this program to give passengers 24-hour security.
◉ A number of measures are being implemented as part of this project to offer passengers unassailable security, including train escorting, visible presence at stations, CCTV surveillance, surveillance on active criminals, collecting of intelligence about the offenders, and subsequent action.
2. India International Seafood Show will be held in Kolkata in 2023.
◉ After a 16-year hiatus, the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) and the Seafood Exporters Association of India (SEAI) will organize the 23rd India International Seafood Show in Kolkata from February 15 to 17.
◉ It would give Indian exporters and foreign buyers of the nation’s maritime products the perfect forum for engagement.
3. The Odisha Cabinet authorized the Millets Mission for Rs. 2808.39 billion.
◉ The promotion of millets in the state’s tribal regions has received approval from the Odisha State Cabinet, which is presided over by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, in the amount of Rs. 2808.39 crores.
◉ To bring millets back to farms and dinner plates, the Government of Odisha established the Odisha Millets Mission in 2017. It was the result of discussions between the government, academic institutions (NCDs), and civil society organizations (RRA Network, ASHA Network, and local NGOs).
It is the first agriculture initiative of its sort with a focus on raising consumption in Odisha.

◉ The “bivalent” vaccination produced by Moderna as a booster for adults has received approval from the UK’s medical regulator (MHRA).
◉ Based on clinical trial data that demonstrated the booster elicited “a significant immune response” against both Omicron (BA.1) and the original 2020 virus, the agency made its conclusion.

7. SBI opened its first branch specifically to assist new businesses.
◉ In Koramangala, Bengaluru, the largest lender in the nation, the State Bank of India (SBI), has opened its first branch specifically for startups.

◉ SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara opened the branch, which is close to the largest start-up clusters in the city, HSR Layout, and Indiranagar, in Koramangala.

Obituary
14. Amitabh Choudhary, a former BCCI secretary, passed away.
◉ Amitabh Chaudhary, 58, died. He was the president of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA) and a former acting secretary of the BCCI.
He managed the Indian team in Zimbabwe from 2005 to 2006 and served as acting secretary of the BCCI until 2019.
◉ He was a retired senior IPS officer who worked for the Jharkhand Police and attained the position of IGP. He also served as the head of the state’s public service commission.
◉ He was instrumental in creating the Jharkhand cricket infrastructure.
