1. India hosted a key anti-terrorism meeting of the “SCO’s Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure.”
◉ From May 16 to 19, India hosted a conference of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) in New Delhi.
◉ The summit was attended by the Security Advisers of the National Security Councils of India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, and Uzbekistan.
2. In Hyderabad, Amit Shah inaugurated the National Cyber Forensic Laboratory.
◉ The National Cyber Forensic Laboratory (NCFL) was formally opened in Hyderabad by Union Home and Co-operation Minister Amit Shah.
◉ The premium laboratory was opened on the grounds of the city’s Central Forensic Science Laboratory in Ramanthapur. The CFSL was awarded the project, which is expected to cost around 35.51 crore rupees.
3. The Ramgarh Vishdhari Wildlife Sanctuary in Rajasthan has been designated as India’s 52nd tiger reserve.
◉ Ramgarh Vishdhari Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan has been notified as Rajasthan’s 4th and 52nd Reserve Forest for Wild Cats of India, according to Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Bhupender Yadav.
◉ It will contribute to biodiversity conservation as well as ecotourism and development in the area.

4. Kenton Cool of England became the first foreigner to scale Mount Everest 16 times.
◉ Kenton Cool hails from Gloucestershire, England. For the 16th time, England climbed the world’s highest mountain, becoming the first foreigner to reach the summit of Mt Everest.
◉ Kenton and his companion guide Dorji Gyalzen Sherpa reached the summit. Kenton is also the first British mountaineer to summit Mt Nuptse, Mt Everest, and Mt Lhotse all in the same season in 2013.
5. Nepal and India have signed six memorandums of understanding and agreements in the fields of education and hydropower.
◉ During Prime Minister Modi’s day-long visit to Lumbini, India, and Nepal signed and exchanged six memorandums of understanding (Nepal).
◉ The Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Lumbini Buddhist University have signed an agreement to create the Dr. Ambedkar Chair for Buddhist Studies.

6. Ambuja Cements, ACC, will be purchased by Adani Group for $10.5 billion from Holcim.
◉ Gautam Adani’s Adani Group is scheduled to buy Swiss multinational business Holcim’s stake in Indian companies Ambuja Cements and its subsidiary ACC for $10.5 billion (about Rs 81,361 crore) including open offers.
◉ The total value of the Holcim stake and open offer consideration for Ambuja Cements and ACC is USD 10.5 billion, making this Adani’s largest-ever acquisition and India’s largest-ever infrastructure and materials M&A transaction.
