1. Kaimur district will become Bihar’s second tiger reserve.
◉ By the end of the year or in the early months of 2024, Bihar is expected to gain a second tiger reserve, the Kaimur Wildlife Sanctuary, after the Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) in the West Champaran district.
◉ There are currently 54 tigers in the State as a whole.
◉ According to a study from the NTCA, there are now 54 tigers living in the Valmiki reserve, up from 31 in 2018.
2. Launch of Sankalp Saptaah by PM Modi
◉ For aspirational blocks in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started a week-long initiative named “Sankalp Saptah”.
◉ The successful implementation of the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP) is related to Sankalp Saptaah.
◉ On January 7, 2023, the PM announced the nationwide initiative. It seeks to elevate citizens’ quality of life through enhancing block-level government.
◉ In 500 Aspirational Blocks spread throughout 329 districts across the nation, it is being implemented. Chintan Shivers were held nationwide at the village and block levels to implement the ◉ Aspirational Blocks Programme and create a successful block development strategy.
3. Uttar Pradesh is going to establish an Ayush Board.
◉ Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, gave instructions for the creation of an integrated Ayush Board during a meeting of the Ayush department.
◉ The board is responsible for overseeing organizations that support Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Siddha, Naturopathy, and Yoga practices as well as for registering medical professionals who practice these philosophies. Regarding the use of Ayurvedic, Unani, and homeopathic medicinal techniques, three independent boards are now in operation. All of these must now be combined onto a single board to give them a uniform appearance.
4. Dr. Jitendra Singh offers a plan for government workers to build their capacity.
◉ At the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) Headquarters in New Delhi, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions Jitendra Singh officially launched the Capacity Building Plan for Government Employees.
◉ Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s latest project, the Capacity Building Scheme, aims to train officials and streamline personnel deployment based on their abilities and acquired competencies.
◉ The Minister demanded that numerous training courses offered by this Scheme be updated and revised because artificial intelligence will have an impact on workplace culture. Adil Zainulbhai, the chairman of the capacity building commission, notified the minister that 700 new courses had been added to the iGOT platform.

5. The 28th Advisory Committee meeting is presided over by RBI’s Swaminathan J in Lucknow.
◉ Under the direction of RBI Deputy Governor Swaminathan J, the 8th meeting of the Standing Advisory Committee to assess the flow of credit to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector was held in Lucknow.
◉ The RBI Deputy Governor emphasized the importance of the MSME sector, particularly in light of the objective to achieve developed economy status by 2047, and the necessity for cooperative efforts on the part of all stakeholders to fully realize MSMEs’ potential.
◉ The Reserve Bank’s initiatives, including the Account Aggregator architecture, the digital Public Tech Platform to facilitate the delivery of frictionless credit, and the regulatory sandbox on MSME lending, were also mentioned by the speaker.

6. Gupta Saugata named as Chairman of ASCI
◉ The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has named Saugata Gupta, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Marico Ltd., as its new Chairman.
◉ Gupta has a long history with ASCI, spending two years as a member of the Board of Governors and four years as a special invitee.
◉ The vice chairman position was given to Partha Sinha, president of response for Bennett Coleman & Company Limited, and the honorary treasurer title went to Sudhanshu Vats, deputy managing director for Pidilite Industries Ltd.
7. K.N. Shanth Kumar was chosen as the Board’s Chairman of Press Trust of India.
◉ The Printers (Mysore) Pvt. Ltd.’s N. Shanth Kumar was chosen as the Board of Directors Chairman of the Press Trust of India for a one-year tenure.

8. Noor 3 satellite was orbited by Iran.
