1. Launch of Kisan Sampark Abhiyan by the J&K Agriculture Production Department
◉ The Kisan Sampark Abhiyan scheme was started by the Jammu and Kashmir Agriculture Production Department.
◉ In J&K, the Abhiyan has begun in 3565 panchayats.
◉ The program’s objectives include Panchayati Raj Institutions in the plan and include Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations.
2. The Manipur chief minister kicks off the Hun Thadou celebration.
◉ The fifth iteration of HUN- a Thadou Cultural Festival 2023 got underway at Thomas Ground in the Kangpokpi district of Manipur. According to the community, HUN is an annual cultural festival and a civilizing gesture of the Thadous community. It is held at the start of the new year.
◉ The Hun Thadou tribe, one of the largest ethnic groupings in the state, is honored throughout the event through its culture and traditions.

◉ Judge Rowan Wilson (62) has been approved by the New York Senate to serve as the new chief judge of the Court of Appeals, the state’s highest court.

◉ He is also the first Black chief judge in New York. He was chosen by Kathy Hochul, the 57th governor of New York.

◉ On April 24, 2023, the legendary singer Asha Bhosle will receive the Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Award.
◉ The Lata Deenanath Mangeshkar Puraskar is an honor granted annually to someone who has made a significant contribution to the country, its people, and society.
◉ Its initial recipient was Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
