1. New Delhi’s Purana Qila hosts the ‘Yoga Mahotsav organized by the Ministry of Culture and the ASI.
◉ The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), held a Yoga Mahotsav at Purana Qila in the national capital. The event was organized as part of the International Day of Yoga 2022 events.
◉ The objective of the event, according to the Ministry of Culture, was to instill the everlasting value of cultural welfare among the people.
◉ Around 500 people attended the event, including officials from the Union Culture Ministry and foreign delegations from more than 40 countries.
2. The National Yoga Olympiad 2022 is inaugurated by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
◉ In New Delhi, Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan launched the National Yoga Olympiad 2022 and a quiz competition.
◉ The Ministry of Education and the National Council of Educational Research and Training are collaborating to host the National Yoga Olympiad.
3. Gujarat: The rebuilt Shree Kalika Mata temple is dedicated by the Prime Minister.
◉ The refurbished Shree Kalika Mata temple at Pavagadh Hill in Gujarat’s Panchmahal district was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also performed Puja at the temple according to tradition. Mr. Modi raised a ‘Dhwaja’ to full mast atop the shrine.

4. Pakistan remains on the FATF’s ‘grey list’ for financing terrorism and money laundering.
◉ Pakistan will remain on the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) “Grey List” of countries under greater scrutiny from the global money-laundering and terror-financing watchdog.
◉ Pakistan has been on the Financial Action Task Force’s (FATF) grey list since June 2018 for failing to check money laundering, which leads to terror financing, and has been set a deadline of October 2019 to rectify the situation.
5. China’s third most advanced domestically built aircraft carrier, ‘Fujian,’ has been launched.
◉ As an aggressive Beijing tried to expand its navy’s range in the important Indo-Pacific region, China unveiled its third aircraft carrier, the country’s most advanced and first “fully domestically manufactured” naval warship.
◉ According to official media sources from Shanghai, the ‘Fujian’ aircraft carrier was launched at a brief ceremony at the Jiangnan Shipyard.
The Fujian is China’s first domestically designed and built catapult aircraft carrier, according to the state-run Xinhua news agency.

6. Equitas Small Finance Bank will introduce the “ENJOI” children’s savings account.
◉ On Father’s Day, Equitas Small Finance Bank will debut ENJOI, a kids’ savings account. This account, according to the SFB, introduces “young kids” to the financial world, encouraging them to acquire a habit of saving at a young age.
◉ ENJOI will allow children aged 0 to 18 to open savings accounts under their parents’ supervision. Minors aged ten and up will be able to receive a personalized debit card.
7. The RBI’s ‘Payments Vision 2025’ intends to triple the number of digital payments by 2025.

◉ Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra won the javelin throw event at the Kuortane Games in Finland, defeating incumbent world champion Anderson Peters of Grenada for his first top podium result of the season.
◉ Chopra’s first throw of 86.69m proved to be the winning distance for the 24-year-old. Keshorn Walcott, the 2012 Olympic champion from Trinidad and Tobago, came in second with an 86.64m first-round throw. Peters finished third with a best throw of 84.75m, which he threw in the first round as well.
