◉ Newly updated guidelines for Infrastructure Debt Fund-Non-Banking Financial Companies (IDF-NBFCs) have been released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). These changes are intended to improve the role of IDF-NBFCs in financing the infrastructure sector and to harmonize the laws governing NBFC financing of the infrastructure sector.
◉ IDF-NBFCs must maintain a minimum Net Owned Fund (NOF) of Rs 300 crore in accordance with the new regulations. This measure makes sure that these organizations have enough financial resources to contribute significantly to the funding of infrastructure.
