1. Centre made public Mobile app for Dugdh Sanakalan Sathi
◉ Mahendra Nath Pandey, Union Minister of Heavy Industries, introduced the “Dugdh Sanakalan Sathi Mobile App” in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
◉ Rajasthan Electronics & Instruments Limited (REIL), a CPSE Mini Ratna under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, created this smartphone application.
◉ The objective of this smartphone app is to raise the standard of milk, promote stakeholder transparency, and streamline operations at the local village level, including milk cooperative organizations.
2. ‘Gruha Jyothi Scheme’, a free electricity programme in Karnataka
◉ The government of Karnataka has started a programme called the “Gruha Jyothi scheme” that offers free electricity up to 200 units per month.
◉ If their electricity consumption meets the requirements, the programme also applies to rent-paying tenants.
◉ On a specific page that has been specially created for the scheme, registration is done on the Seva Sindhu portal.

3. There is a $32.8 billion chip factory investment deal between Intel and Germany.
◉ In order to invest more than 30 billion euros ($32.8 billion) in a chip manufacturing facility in Magdeburg, Germany, Intel and the German government have inked a contract.
◉ In November 2022, Intel purchased the site in eastern Germany’s Magdeburg for two semiconductor manufacturing plants, with production beginning in four or five years.
◉ The investment in Germany is the largest foreign business that has ever been undertaken in ◉ Germany, and it will significantly increase Intel’s production capacity throughout Europe.
◉ The agreement will strengthen the nation’s semiconductor industry and reinforce Intel’s position as the market leader.

4. IndusInd Bank works with Wise to provide quick and inexpensive international transfers to India.
◉ A strategic alliance has been established between IndusInd Bank and Wise, a leading provider of safe money transfers in the world of technology.
◉ With this agreement, we hope to offer Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) living in Singapore and the United States convenient and effective online inbound remittance services.
◉ Customers of IndusInd Bank are able to send money from these two important international marketplaces thanks to this relationship. The Wise Platform will interface with the remittance service, known as Indus Fast Remit (IFR), enabling NRIs to take advantage of a multi-currency inward remittance service.

◉ The Senate has confirmed civil rights attorney Nusrat Chowdhury to become the nation’s first Muslim woman federal judge.
◉ Following a 50-49 vote along party lines, she will start her lifetime appointment at Brooklyn federal court in New York.
◉ She worked at the national ACLU office from 2008 to 2020, spending seven of those years as the deputy director of the ACLU Racial Justice Programme.
6. The RBI named Swaminathan Janakiraman as its deputy governor.
◉ Swaminathan Janakiraman, managing director of the State Bank of India, has been appointed for a three-year term as deputy governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) by the Cabinet’s Appointments Committee.
◉ He will succeed Mahesh Kumar Jain, the deputy governor whose term expires this month.
◉ The crucial RBI position was filled by Jain, the former CEO of IDBI Bank and Indian Bank, in 2018. At least one of the deputy governors of the central bank is often chosen from public sector institutions.
◉ 2018 saw the appointment of Mahesh K. Jain as vice governor.

7. Acharya Gopi will receive the Professor Jayashankar Award.
◉ Acharya N. Gopi, a renowned poet, literary critic, and laureate of the Sahitya Akademi Award, has been chosen for the Kothapalli Jayashankar Award established by Bharat Jagruthi, a cultural organisation and outgrowth of Bharat Rashtra Samithi.

◉ The Indian Army is taking part in the joint international exercise Ex Khaan Quest 2023 in Mongolia.
◉ Over 20 nations are represented by military contingents and observers at this exercise. The Exercise was opened by Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, the president of Mongolia.
◉ The Garhwal Rifles are part of the contingent of the Indian Army. The 14-day exercise’s goals include improving participant countries’ interoperability, exchanging knowledge, and preparing uninformed people for UN peacekeeping operations.
