1. An MoU for judicial cooperation between Maldives and India was signed.
◉ An MoU for judicial cooperation between India and the Maldives has been inked in order to speed up court digitization.
◉ The eighth MoU for judicial cooperation has been signed.
◉ The MoU will offer a framework for utilizing the advantages of information technology for court digitalization and may present a growth opportunity for startups and IT enterprises in both nations.
2. In order to establish hydropower projects and pump storage projects, NHPC and DVC inked an MoU.
◉ National Hydro Electric Power Corporation Private Limited (NHPC) and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has signed a ◉ Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to investigate the possibility of forming a Joint Venture Company (JVC) for the purpose of evaluating and establishing hydropower and pumped storage projects.
◉ It is consistent with the country’s energy transformation goal, which calls for 500 GW of renewable energy by 2030 and Net Zero by 2070.
3. India Innovation Index third edition was released by NITI Aayog.
◉ Suman Bery, the vice-chairman of NITI Aayog, has released the third iteration of the India Innovation Index.
◉ The index rates and analyses the states and union territories based on their performance in terms of innovation.
◉ With a focus on distinctiveness, the government agency increased the indicators from 36 in the previous edition to 66.

◉ Spending in Brazil, Russia, China, and South Africa is approximately 1.2 percent, 1.1 percent, higher than 2 percent, and 0.8 percent. Around 1.8 percent is the global average.

10. Ajay Parida, renowned scientist, and ILS director passed away
◉ Dr. Ajay Kumar Parida, a well-known scientist and the head of the Institute of Life Sciences (ILS) in Bhubaneswar died at the age of 58.
◉ In 2014, the President of India presented him with the Padma Shri Award in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to science and engineering.
