1. Dharmendra Pradhan introduced the “SCALE” app to help the leather sector increase its skills.
◉ The SCALE (Skill Certification Assessment for Leather Employees) app has been released by the Union Minister of Education and Skill ◉ Development Dharmendra Pradhan.
◉ It offers a one-stop shop for all of the leather industry’s training, education, testing, and job requirements.
◉ The Council for the Leather Skill Sector created it.
2. In Srinagar, the first multiplex in Kashmir was inaugurated.
◉ Kashmir, Jammu The first multiplex in Kashmir was opened by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in the Sonwar neighborhood of Srinagar.

6. India’s growth prediction for 2022–2023 was cut by ADB to 7%.
◉ The Asian Development Bank reduced its 7.2% July 2022 estimate for India’s growth to 7% for the years 2022–2023.
◉ Additionally, it reduced India’s projected growth for 2023–2024 from 7.8% to 7.2%.
◉ Inflation in India was predicted to be 6.7% in FY23 and 5.8% in FY24.
Retail inflation in India has been hovering at a record 7% for eight consecutive months, exceeding the Reserve Bank of India’s upper tolerance ceiling of 6%.
7. IFSCA of India and the Singapore Central Bank collaborated to pursue fintech innovations.
◉ Agreement between the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) of India to promote regulatory cooperation in FinTech.
◉ The agreement is anticipated to make use of the regulatory sandboxes already in place in each party’s jurisdiction to enable the testing of technological breakthroughs.
◉ Along with inviting pertinent nations to take part in a Global Regulatory Sandbox, the partnership will enable both organizations to assess the feasibility of use cases that could benefit from collaboration across several jurisdictions.
◉ The integrated financial regulator and the central bank of Singapore is called MAS.

◉ Elvis Ali Hazarika, a seasoned Assamese swimmer, is the first person from the North East to traverse the North Channel.
◉ Between north-eastern Northern Ireland and south-western Scotland is a channel known as the North Channel. It starts where the Irish Sea terminates, north of the Isle of Man, and flows northeast into the Atlantic Ocean.
◉ For this feat, Elvis and his team needed 14 hours and 38 minutes. Elvis has now crossed the North Channel at the oldest age for an Indian swimmer.
