1. Annual Ethnic Mamani Festival was conducted by HCHF and Ladakh Tourism Dept.
◉ The Himalayan Cultural Heritage Foundation (HCHF) and Ladakh Tourism Department hosted the annual Ethnic Mamani Festival in historic Styangkung Village and Chiktan Shagaran.
◉ The Steyangkung village, one of Ladakh’s well-maintained heritage villages, is about 500 years old and remains in good condition.
◉ One of Ladakh’s well-maintained heritage villages is being established in this village.
◉ People would trade food with their neighbors and relatives at the Mamani Festival while also worshipping a variety of spirits.
2. By 2025, Himachal Pradesh hopes to become the first “green energy state.”
◉ Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, has said that the state’s government intends to make Himachal Pradesh the first “Green Energy State” by the end of 2025.
◉ The state would also invest in solar power, and between 2023 and 2024, 500 MW of solar projects will be installed.
◉ Out of this, HPPCL would build 200 MW, for which land has been identified for a capacity of 70 MW, and the remaining sites would be decided upon soon.
3. PM Modi gave 21 Andaman and Nicobar islands their names as recipients of the Paramveer Chakra.
◉ On the momentous occasion of Parakram Divas, which was held to commemorate Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 126th birthday and honor 21 recipients of the Param Vir Chakra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi named 21 islands in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands in their honor.
◉ On Port Blair’s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep, the memorial will be constructed. The memorial will include a children’s park, the Netaji Museum, the Heritage Trail, and a ropeway that connects to Port Blair.

4. The nomination of “Moidams” as a UNESCO World Heritage Site
◉ India has proposed Charaideo Moidams for consideration as a cultural World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
◉ Assam’s Charaideo district’s Ahom-era “Moidams,” or the royal family’s burial ground, will be India’s sole submission for listing as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
◉ In April 2014, the “Moidams” of the Ahom dynasty at Charaideo was first put on the preliminary list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
◉ The over 600-year-long mound burial custom of the Tai Ahoms in Assam from the 13th to the 19th century CE is represented by Moidams.
There are currently 40 World Heritage Sites in India, 32 of which are cultural, seven natural, and one mixed site.

5. Judge AK Sikri is named the 2023 Shooting World Cup’s administrator.
◉ The Delhi High Court has appointed former Supreme Court judge A. K. Sikri as Administrator to oversee the expenditure of funds for the 2023 World Cup of the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF).
◉ The world cup will be held in Bhopal in March 2023.
◉ The administrator may employ any athlete of his choice who has competed in the shooting at the national or international level, according to the court.

◉ She received the honor from Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at a ceremony held in Mumbai’s Ram Ganesh Gadkari Rangayatan.
