1. India’s 54th tiger reserve was approved by NTCA in Rajasthan
◉ The Karauli and Dholpur districts of Rajasthan have received approval for India’s 54th tiger reserve from the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA).
◉ After Ramgarh Vishdhari, Mukundra Hills, Sariska, and Ranthambore, this is Rajasthan’s sixth tiger reserve.
◉ According to government statistics, the number of tigers in India climbed from 2,967 in 2018 to 3,682 in 2022, a 6 percent annual increase.
◉ Madhya Pradesh has the most tigers in the nation (785), followed by Karnataka (563), Uttarakhand (560), and Maharashtra (444), with a 50 percent rise over the previous four years.
In Rajasthan, there will be 88 tigers by 2022, up from 32 in 2006.
2. By January 2026, Indian Immunologicals hopes to introduce its dengue vaccine.
◉ By the beginning of 2026, vaccine producer Indian Immunologicals Limited (IIL) anticipates commercializing its dengue fever vaccine.
◉ With 31,464 cases of mosquito-borne dengue fever and 36 deaths associated with it documented between January and July 31, 2023, the disease has recently grown to be a significant public health concern in India.
◉ Although its transmission had decreased during the pandemic, the National Center for Vector Borne Diseases Control reported a 333% increase from 2020 to 2021 and a 21% increase in cases between 2021 and 2022.
◉ In addition to IIL, Serum Institute of India and Panacea Biotec are at least two more Indian businesses that are engaged in the dengue vaccine development process.
3. Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan 2023 places Indore first and Bhopal fifth.
◉ With an astounding 187 out of a possible 200 points, Indore has taken the top spot in the Central Pollution Control Board’s Swachh Vayu Sarvekshan-2023 competition.

4. In Indore, the 6th National Conference on e-Governance gets started.
◉ In Indore, the 26th National Conference on e-Governance is being held to discuss how to give citizens better services.
◉ ‘Developed India: Empowering Citizens’ is the theme.
◉ The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and the Government of Madhya Pradesh are working together to put on the two-day conference.
◉ The conference is being attended by industry representatives and delegations from 28 states and 9 union territories.
◉ The conference will cover eleven topics, such as district-level initiatives, new technology for delivering citizen-centric services, and the role of R&D in such services.
5. Kerala releases extra books that feature NCERT-deleted passages.
◉ The State Council for Educational Research and Training (SCERT) textbooks have been expanded by the Kerala government to include the subjects that have lately been dropped from the NCERT textbooks.
◉ Concern regarding chapters being left out by NCERT under the guise of rationalization for the 2023–24 academic year was raised by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. He underlined that the chapters that were skipped were important and shouldn’t have been dropped.
◉ The government takes the decision to omit some chapters seriously since they consider them to be significant.
◉ 44 textbooks across 12 subjects are from NCERT for classes 11 and 12. NCERT is providing textbooks for grades 11 and 12.

8. Next Moon Mission by ISRO in Partnership with Japan Gains Steam
◉ The next phase of ISRO’s lunar exploration program can now be revealed after Chandrayaan-3 safely landed on the Moon’s surface.
◉ Currently, ISRO is getting ready to work with the Japanese Space Agency (JAXA) on one more lunar mission.
◉ The LUPEX, or Lunar Polar Exploration, mission is scheduled to launch in 2024–2025. However, the Chandrayaan series would continue.
◉ Along with instruments from ISRO and JAXA, the rover will also have equipment from NASA and the European Space Agency (ESA).
◉ The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) and the Indian space agency, which has its headquarters in Bengaluru, are working together on the Lunar Polar Exploration Mission (LUPEX).

10. 33 Khelo India Centers were opened by Anurag Thakur throughout Rajasthan.
◉ At the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, 33 Khelo India Centers (KIC) were officially opened by Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur.
◉ Additionally, he said that Rajasthan would receive a National Center of Excellence with a sports science center and an additional 18 KICs, bringing the total number of KICs in the State to 51.
◉ In India, there are 960 KICs altogether, 715 of which are active KICs.
