1. Tamil Nadu has started an integrated agriculture development program.
◉ MK Stalin, the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, has launched the ‘Kalaignarin All Villages Integrated Agricultural Development Programme,’ which aims to develop agriculture in all 15,525 village panchayats in five years through a convergence of Union and State government schemes and externally funded projects.
◉ The current year’s initiative will help nearly nine lakh agricultural families by covering 1,997 village panchayats at a cost of Rs 227.06 crore.
2. In Manipur, the 4th Shirui Lily Festival has begun.
◉ The 4th Edition of the State-Level Shirui Lily Festival 2022 has commenced in Manipur.
◉ The Department of Tourism, Government of Manipur, organizes an annual festival to promote and raise awareness of the Shirui Lily flower, which is also Manipur’s State Flower.
