1. The inaugural Vande Bharat Express in Kerala was launched by PM Modi.
◉ At Thiruvananthapuram Central Station, Prime Minister Narendra Modi signalled the departure of Kerala’s inaugural Vande Bharat Express between Thiruvananthapuram and Kasargod.
◉ Thiruvananthapuram–Kasaragod–Thiruvananthapuram South and North Kerala would be connected by Vande Bharat.
◉ Thiruvananthapuram-Kasaragod-Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat will become the quickest in the corridor once operations begin.
2. G20 Tourism Expo is staged by the Ministry of Tourism in Jaipur
◉ The G20 Tourism Expo was held in Jaipur and was organised by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan.
◉ In order to increase tourism, the Ministry of Tourism intends to create 50 new travel destinations within India and start advertising abroad.

5. India plans to construct a refinery in Mongolia by 2025.

◉ A $1.2 billion soft loan from India will be used this year to construct the first phase of the Mongol Oil Refinery.

6. Operation Kaveri is launched by India to rescue stranded residents of Sudan

◉ To assist them protect themselves against the volatility of the local currency, the RBZ wants people who possess Zim dollars to be able to exchange their money for the gold-backed coin.

8. The ‘Indie’ digital bank will be introduced by IndusInd Bank.
