1. Odisha is home to India’s first Olympic Values Education Program.
◉ The International Olympic Committee (IOC) launched India’s first ‘Olympic Values Education Programme’ (OVEP) in Odisha.
◉ In the initial phase, it would be implemented in 90 schools across two smart cities, Bhubaneswar and Rourkela. OVEP was launched in 27 Rourkela schools and 63 Bhubaneswar schools.
2. The Inter-State Council has been formed under the leadership of the Prime Minister; Amit Shah is the Chairman of the Standing Committee.
◉ The Inter-State Council has been recreated, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as chairman and chief ministers of all states, six Union ministers as members, and ten Union ministers as permanent invitees.
◉ The Union Government also reestablished the Standing Committee of the Inter-State Council, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah as its Chairman, according to a separate announcement.
3. Uttar Pradesh has launched the ‘SAMBHAV’ platform to track complaints and energy-related initiatives.
◉ Arvind K Sharma, Uttar Pradesh’s Minister for Energy and Urban Development, has launched the ‘SAMBHAV’ (Systemic Administration Mechanism for Bringing Happiness and Value) portal to track departmental grievances, plans, programs, and policies.
◉ SAMBHAV is a multi-modal platform that aids in the rapid and effective resolution of public grievances, as well as providing good governance and making public service delivery visible and accountable.

◉ The co-lending partnership intends to tap into the Rs. 8 lakh billion small-ticket loan market for the 365 million unbanked and underserved people in India.

8. Captain Abhilasha Barak became the Indian Army’s first female combat pilot.
◉ After successfully finishing her training, Captain Abhilasha Barak of Haryana has become the first woman officer to join the Army Aviation Corps as a combat aviator.
◉ The DG and Colonel Commandant of Army Aviation in Nashik presented her with the coveted wings, along with 36 other army pilots. She has been assigned to the 2072 Army Aviation Squadron’s second flight.

10. The 3rd Bilateral Naval Exercise Bongosagar was held between India and Bangladesh.
◉ On May 24, 2022, the third iteration of the Indian Navy (IN) – Bangladesh Navy (BN) Bilateral Exercise ‘Bongosagar’ began in Port Mongla, Bangladesh.
◉ The exercise will commence with a Harbour Phase on May 24-25, followed by a Sea Phase on May 26-27 in the Northern Bay of Bengal.
◉ Through the conduct of a wide range of maritime exercises and operations between the two navies, Exercise Bongosagar aims to build a high level of interoperability and combined operational skills.

11. NIT Tiruchirappalli has inaugurated the PARAM PORUL Supercomputer.
◉ In a collaborative endeavour by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, PARAM PORUL, a state-of-the-art Supercomputer, was inaugurated at NIT Tiruchirappalli on the 25th of May 2022. (MeitY).
◉ The National Supercomputing Mission’s Phase 2 includes the establishment of this freshly opened supercomputing center (NSM).

12. Turkey won the most medals at the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships in 2022.
◉ From May 8 to May 20, 2022, the 12th edition of the International Boxing Association (IBA) Women’s World Boxing Championship was held at Başakşehir Youth and Sports Facility in Istanbul, Turkey.
◉ Turkey won the most medals, five gold, and two bronze, and was named the best team in the Championships.
