1. The Rajasthani government introduced the “iStart Talent Connect Portal.”
◉ To increase job prospects in the state, the Rajasthani government has opened the “iStart Talent Connect Portal” at Jaipur’s Techno Hub.
◉ The portal was launched in association with Hyrefox, a startup based in Jaipur.
Our goal is to develop a user-friendly platform that benefits both employers and job seekers.
◉ Companies can use the platform to interact with prospective employees and publish job openings in addition to finding potential talent.
2. Cabinet authorizes agreement on semiconductor supply chain between Japan and India
◉ A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between Japan and India on creating a semiconductor supply chain cooperation with an emphasis on design, production, R&D, and talent development for the industry has been approved by the Union Cabinet.
◉ Between the two nations, a memorandum of cooperation was inked in July.
◉ Japan has signed a deal with India to jointly expand the semiconductor ecosystem and preserve the robustness of its global supply chain, making it the second Quad partner after the US to do so.
3. Tamil Nadu and the UK collaborate on smart technology sustainable resource management
◉ An intelligent technology project targeted at sustainable resource, waste, and water management is being worked on by Tamil Nadu and the UK.
◉ The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) of the UK’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Anne-Marie Trevelyan, and Tamil Nadu’s Information Technology Minister, Palanivel Thiaga Rajan, launched the smart technology initiative.
◉ The project was selected for the Frontier Technology Livestreaming (FTL) program and is titled “Smart District Administration using IoT Technologies for Better Quality of Life.”
◉ The “Smart District” initiative, funded by the UK, aims to address global environmental issues by placing sensors all over the district.

7. In the club throw event at the Asian Para Games in 2022, Pranav Soorma won gold.
◉ On the first day of the athletics competition at the Hangzhou Asian Para Games 2022, Pranav Soorma of India won the gold in the men’s club throw F51 event, giving India a clean sweep of all three medals.
◉ With a performance of 30.01 meters, the 29-year-old Soorma broke the Asian Para Games record and won the gold. Dharambir (28.76 meters) and Amit Kumar (26.93 meters) finished second and third, respectively.

◉ At the 4th Asian Para Games in 2022, Nishad Kumar won a gold medal for India by setting a new ◉ Asian Games record in the Men’s High Jump T47.
◉ Nishad won the gold medal with a 2.02-meter leap. Hongjie Chen of China had to settle for silver (1.94m). Ram Pal of India also took home the silver medal, clearing 1.94 meters on his fifth try.
◉ Men’s Shot Put-F-11 finalist Monu Ghangas, an Indian para-athlete, took home a bronze medal.
◉ With his fourth effort and a season-best throw of 12.33 meters, Monu sealed a podium finish.
