Researchers in China have discovered a new type of crystal nestled among the volcanic debris on the near side of the moon. A new mineral, Change site-(Y), was discovered from the moon samples retrieved by China’s Change-5 probe, making China the third country to discover a new mineral on the moon, China Atomic Energy Authority.
