1. Global Turmeric Conference is held in Mumbai.
◉ Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, opened the first Global Turmeric Conference in Mumbai.
◉ To discuss various concerns relating to the crop, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), merchants, processors, exporters, researchers, and other stakeholders will gather.

2. ‘India Energy Summit 2023’ was opened by RK Singh in New Delhi.
◉ At the FICCI Federation House in New Delhi, the “India Energy Summit 2023” has been officially launched by Minister of Power, New, and Renewable Energy RK Singh.

◉ Amit Khare, a former bureaucrat, has been extended as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s advisor.
◉ The extension of Khare’s term beyond October 12, 2023, for a time that coincides with the term of Prime Minister, has been agreed by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.
◉ In October 2021, he was chosen for the two-year position. On September 30, 2021, Khare, a former Indian Administrative Service IAS officer from the Jharkhand cadre, reached the age of retirement.

◉ Sudipti Hajela, Divyakriti Singh, Hriday Chheda, and Anush Agarwalla’s team demonstrated great skill and teamwork to win the highly sought-after gold medal, and they did it with a brilliant score of 209.205.
◉ India had previously won gold in horse riding at its inaugural appearance at the Asian Games in 1982, therefore this victory comes after a 41-year wait for the nation.
11. Shiv Pratap Singh Men’s 10m air rifle bronze medal goes to Tomar
◉ Shiv Pratap Singh At the ongoing Asian Games 2023, Tomar took home a bronze medal in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle competition. This was India’s fourth shooting medal.
◉ Tomar was also a member of the Indian men’s squad that won gold and set a new record in the team competition for the 10m air rifle.
◉ Tomar came in last place, trailing Sheng Lihao of China and Hajun Park of South Korea. Sheng Lihao won the gold medal with a score of 253.3 points, breaking the previous world record. Hajun Park took home the silver medal with a score of 251.3 points.
