1. Five brand-new Vande Bharat trains were launched by PM Modi.
◉ Five new Vande Bharat trains were launched by the prime minister from Bhopal’s Rani Kamlapati Railway Station.
◉ Two trains out of the five will run in Madhya Pradesh and one in Karnataka. There is also a brand-new Vande Bharat Express that runs between Patna and Ranchi.
◉ Several trains run between Ranchi and Patna, Dharwad and KSR Bengaluru, Goa, and Mumbai, Bhopal and Indore, and Bhopal and Jabalpur.
◉ The number of premium trains has increased to 23 with the introduction of the new five Vande Bharat Express trains. Vande Bharat trains are currently running on 18 routes all over the nation.
2. Beginning in Tripura is the historic Kharchi Puja

4. State-run REC Limited, a Maharatna Central Public Sector Enterprise, will extend financial ◉ Assistance to Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) in the amount of 3,045 crores for the establishment and development of metro lines under Bangalore Metro’s phase-II project.
◉ The Phase-II project entails extending two Phase-I corridors and constructing two additional lines, one from RV Road to Bommasandra and the other from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara.
◉ Phase II’s 72.09 km will bring Bangalore Metro’s total network length to 114.39 km, including 101 stations.
5. The Himachal government will have a special task force to fight the drug epidemic.
◉ Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, the chief minister of Himachal Pradesh, announced the creation of a specialized task force to address the state’s drug problem.
◉ To combat drug addiction, the government aims to open two cutting-edge drug detoxification and rehabilitation facilities in Himachal.

◉ The BLR Pulse app enables users to keep track of real-time flight updates, reserve a table at an airport restaurant, connect to WiFi, learn about check-in gates, and even track delayed flights.

7. S&P keeps its FY24 6% growth forecast for India.
