1. Rajasthan has updated the IG Shehri Rozgar Guarantee Yojana’s requirements.
◉ Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot has approved new guidelines for the implementation of the Indira Gandhi Shahari Rozgar Yojana. Gehlot proposed the scheme, which is modelled after Mahatma Gandhi’s National Rural Jobs Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), in the 2022-23 budget to create jobs in urban areas.
◉ Under the new urban employment scheme, families residing in urban areas would earn 100 days of work every year. The state government would invest Rs 800 crore each year in this ambitious scheme, according to an official statement.
2. In Bhaderwah, Jitendra Singh inaugurates India’s first ‘Lavendar Festival.’
◉ Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister, has launched the country’s first ‘Lavendar festival’ in Bhaderwah, Jammu, where lavender production has altered the hilly area’s economy.
◉ The cradle of India’s purple revolution is Bhaderwah in the Doda district. Bhaderwah in the Doda district, according to the minister, was the origin of India’s purple revolution.

◉ The proposal for the formation of a new Defence Estates Circle specifically for Uttarakhand has been approved by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. The MoD will establish an independent office of Defence Estates in Dehradun and a sub-office in Ranikhet in response to the challenges of administering enormous expanses of defence land in the state and the demand of cantonment inhabitants in Uttrakhand.
◉ The creation of the new Defence Estates Circle for Uttarakhand is a significant step toward bringing the government closer to the people, in line with the goal of “ease of living” and “easy of doing business.”

4. Issuer charges for AePS were introduced by India Post Payments Bank.
◉ Issuer charges for the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System have been implemented by the India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), the Department of Post (DoP), and the Ministry of Communication (AePS).
◉ From June 15, 2022, AePS Issuer transaction costs will be in effect. AePS is a bank-led concept that enables online interoperable financial inclusion transactions at the point of sale (MicroATM) through any bank’s business correspondent utilising Aadhaar verification. There are six main transaction types available in AePS.
5. MUFG The Bank of Japan has been given permission to open a branch in GIFT City.
◉ To offer foreign currency lending, MUFG Bank, a Japanese lender, will construct a branch in Ahmedabad’s Gujarat International Financial Tec-City (GIFT City). This will be the firm’s sixth location in the country.
◉ MUFG can better serve its domestic and foreign clients by offering a wider range of financial services. At the moment, it has offices in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Neemrana.
India’s funds-based exposure was Rs 15,671.4 crore in December 2021, while non-fund exposure was Rs 5,169.1 crore. The lender’s capital adequacy ratio was 21.13 per cent in December 2021, according to records on the lender’s website.

6. For exporters, MSMEs, and farmers, FIEO has launched a first-of-its-kind B2B digital marketplace.
◉ The Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) has developed the world’s first online platform for Indian exporters and international customers.
◉ The platform, dubbed Indian Business Portal, would function as a B2B digital marketplace, assisting MSME exporters, artisans, and farmers in identifying new markets for their products and increasing their global sales. Anupriya Patel, Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, was present at the event.
7. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved the sale of the government’s 29.5 per cent share in Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (HZL).
◉ At the current market price, the selling of a 29.58 per cent interest implies more than 124.96 crore shares, raising roughly Rs 38,000 crores.
◉ The government’s disinvestment strategy will be bolstered by this move in the current fiscal year. PSU disinvestment and strategic sale have been budgeted for 65,000 crores by the government. On the BSE, shares of HZL finished at 305.05, up 3.14 per cent. The stock hit a high of 317.30 per share during the day.

9. India won 33 medals at the ISSF Junior World Cup in 2022.
◉ The Junior World Cup 2022 of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) was held in Suhl, Germany.
◉ Manu Bhaker and Saurabh Chaudhary, two of India’s best shooters, led the Indian contingent. The Indian junior shooting team finished first overall in the ISSF Junior World Cup 2022.
They won a total of 33 medals, with 13 gold, 15 silver, and 5 bronze. Italy finished second with four gold medals.
