1. Nagaland’s Honey Testing Lab is opened by the Union Agriculture Minister
◉ The Dimapur Honey Testing Laboratory was formally opened by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Narendra Singh Tomar while he was in Nagaland.
◉ Beekeepers and producers will benefit from the honey testing facility’s assistance in testing their produced honey. Tomar was present at a function at the North-East Agri Expo in Chumaokedlma.
◉ The ceremony was attended by G. Kaito, the Nagaland Agriculture Minister, as well as Central Horticulture Commissioner Prabhat Kumar and Chief Secretary J. Alam.

◉ The PPI license impedes the rollout of services like digital payment solutions for lending by digital banks, fintech companies, and major consumer-facing applications.
◉ Following well-known companies like Bajaj Finserve, Manapurram, and Paul Merchants, Mufin Finance is the fourth NBFC to get a similar license from the RBI.

◉ The explosive reactive armour (ERA)-protected armoured vehicles are defeated by the tandem High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) warhead used by the all-indigenous ATGM. The ATGM, which was designed to launch from many platforms, is now undergoing technical evaluation tests from the 120 mm rifled gun of the MBT Arjun.

12. Varinder Singh, an Olympic medalist, and World Cup champion in hockey died.
◉ Varinder Singh, a legend in Indian hockey and a part of the 1975 World Cup team that won the gold medal, passed dead. He was 75.
◉ Singh was a member of the Indian hockey squad that won the gold medal in Kuala Lumpur in 1975. Singh also competed for the teams that won the bronze medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich and the silver medal in the 1973 World Cup in Amsterdam.
◉ The coveted Dhyan Chand Lifetime Achievement Award was given to Varinder in 2007.
