1. A fernarium is added to Eravikulam National Park first.
◉ The Eravikulam National Park is situated in Kerala, amid the Western Ghats of India.
◉ In order to safeguard the critically endangered Nilgiri tahr, a species of mountain goat that is native to the Western Ghats, the park was first created as a game sanctuary in 1975.
◉ The sanctuary, which has 97 square kilometers in size, was turned into a national park in 1978.
◉ It supports a wide range of fauna, including the Nilgiri tahr as well as macaques, leopards, and other bird species. The park’s lush woodlands, undulating meadows, and flowing waterfalls are among its well-known features.
2. The Bhopal-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express is flagged off by PM Modi at the Rani Kamlapati Train Station.
◉ The Vande Bharat Express train service between Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station in Delhi and Rani Kamlapati Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
◉ The train will run every day except Saturday and travel 701 kilometers in 7 hours and 30 minutes. Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi, Gwalior, and Agra will be the stops.

3. “MF Hydra”: The first ferry fueled by liquid hydrogen goes into service
◉ The first liquid hydrogen-powered ferry in the world was successfully launched by the Norwegian business Norled.
◉ The hybrid ship, known as MF Hydra, runs on both batteries and liquid hydrogen fuel cells.
◉ After initial testing earlier this year at Hjelmeland dock, it conducted two weeks of sea trials.
◉ The ferry’s operation has received final permission from the Norwegian Maritime Administration (NMA).
◉ While pure water is the only consequence of hydrogen fuel cells, this huge accomplishment will help the maritime sector reduce its greenhouse gas emissions.
4. Britain signs its largest trade agreement since Brexit and prepares to join the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
◉ The UK has secured its largest trade agreement to date, which is a significant development for post-Brexit Britain.
◉ The CPTPP (Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership), which includes a market of around 500 million people and has a combined GDP of £9 trillion, is expected to include the nation.
◉ 11 nations, including Canada, Japan, Mexico, and Australia, signed the CPTPP agreement, which went into effect in December 2018.

5. Launch of WhatsApp Banking Services by India Post Payments Bank
◉ In order to make it easier for consumers to access banking services on their smartphones, India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) launched its WhatsApp Banking Services in New Delhi.
◉ Customers will be able to interact with the bank on WhatsApp through the new WhatsApp Banking channel and access a variety of services, such as asking for doorstep services, locating the closest post office, and more.

6. The new Vice-Chief of the Navy is Vice-Admiral Sanjay Jasjit Singh.
◉ As part of a number of high-level changes to the Indian Navy, Vice-Admiral Sanjay Jasjit Singh became Vice-Chief of Naval Staff (VCNS) on April 2.
◉ After earning his degree from the National Defence Academy in Pune, Vice Admiral Singh joined the leadership team of the Indian Navy. He has served on several different types of ships throughout the course of his 37-year career and has held a variety of senior positions, including Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (CSNCO), Flag Officer Commanding of the Western Fleet, Commandant Naval War College, and Controller Personnel Services.
◉ He formerly held the role of Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff before being appointed as VCNS (Operations).

7. The mission of ISRO’s Reusable Launch Vehicle LEV RLV
◉ The Reusable Launch Vehicle Autonomous Landing Mission (RLV LEX) has been successfully completed by ISRO at the Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) in Chitradurga, Karnataka.
◉ The RLV was flown to a height of 4.5 kilometers in an underslung cargo by an Indian Air Force Chinook chopper.
◉ The RLV was automatically released 4.6 km downrange once the predetermined pillbox conditions were met.
◉ Using the Integrated Navigation, Guidance & Control system, the RLV then conducted approach and landing maneuvers with success and independently landed on the ATR airstrip.
◉ With this accomplishment, ISRO has successfully autonomously landed a spacecraft.
