1. Gujarat’s National Maritime Heritage Complex will be built by the government.
◉ Under the government’s Sagarmala initiative, a National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) will be built in Lothal, Gujarat, for a price of Rs 4,500 crore.
◉ In order to promote knowledge of the nation’s maritime heritage, an “edutainment approach” utilizing cutting-edge technology would be used at the NMHC, which would be built as an international tourist attraction in Lothal.
2. The National Sickle Cell Eradication Mission is launched by PM Modi.
◉ In the Madhya Pradesh village of Lalpur, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Sickle Cell Anaemia Eradication Mission 2047.

◉ Coal India Limited’s (CIL) new chairman has been named P M Prasad.
◉ He replaces Pramod Agrawal, who resigned on June 30.
◉ He has worked in the coal mining industry for more than 30 years and holds a postgraduate degree in mining engineering from the Indian School of Mines at IIT Dhanbad.
◉ Prasad started working with CIL in 1984 as a management trainee at Western Coalfields Limited. He later held positions with other CIL companies.
◉ He also served as Executive Director (coal mining) at NTPC for three years.
5. Charanjit Surinder Singh Attra, the chief financial officer of SBI, resigns.
◉ Charanjit Surinder Singh Attra, the chief financial officer of State Bank of India (SBI), has resigned.
◉ Attra, who started the job on October 2, 2020, previously held senior executive positions at ICICI Securities and EY India as a Partner.
◉ Prashant Kumar, who went to Yes Bank as part of a rescue package spearheaded by SBI, previously held the CFO role before Attra.
◉ For a three-year term, SBI also named four directors to the bank’s central board.

6. After 46 years, Deepak Parekh resigns as chairman of HDFC.
