1. Ranipur Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh becomes India’s 53rd tiger reserve.
◉ The Ranipur Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh has been designated as India’s 53rd tiger reserve.
◉ The Ranipur Tiger Reserve, located in the Chitrakoot district of Uttar Pradesh, is the state’s fourth after Dudhwa, Pilibhit, and Amangarh.
◉ The reserve will cover 529.89 square kilometers, including a buffer zone of 299.58 square kilometers and a core area of 230 square kilometers.
◉ The Ranipur Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh’s Bundelkhand region is only 150 kilometers from the Panna Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh and is home to tigers, leopards, sloth bears, sambar, spotted deer, chinkara, and a variety of birds and reptiles.
◉ The Chitrakoot district sanctuary has no tigers of its own.
2. Mangarh Dham has been designated a national monument by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

◉ From November 25 to 28, Kerala will host the Track Asia Cup-2022 cycling tournament, one of the world’s largest cycling events, at the LNCPE outdoor velodrome.
◉ Around 200 cyclists from over 25 Asian countries will compete in the event, which will be held outside of Delhi for the first time.
◉ Track Asia Cup Cycling 2022 will be held at the LNCPE’s 333.333-meter concrete Velodrome, which is sanctioned by the Asian Cycling Confederation and the Cycling Federation of India.
◉ The Track Asia Cup is also used to select Asian countries for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

11. Gandhian and SEWA founder Ela Bhatt has died.
◉ Elaben Bhatt, a well-known Gandhian and the founder of the Self-Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) died at the age of 89.
◉ She was the Chairperson of Sabarmati Ashram and just stepped down as Chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi’s Gujarat Vidhyapith.
◉ In 2007, she became a member of the Elders, a group of world leaders formed by Nelson Mandela to promote human rights and peace around the world.
