1. Argentina and India have a social security agreement.
◉ A Social Security Agreement (SSA) has been ratified by India and Argentina.
◉ Dinesh Bhatia, Ambassador of India to Argentina, and Santiago Cafiero, minister of Argentina’s foreign affairs, international trade, and religion, signed the agreement in the presence of Raquel Kismer de Olmos, minister of Argentina’s labor, employment, and social security.
◉ The agreement guarantees contributory benefits, such as cash allowance for retirement or pension, rent subsidies, or lump sum payments in accordance with local law, to detached workers, or employees working temporarily in another country, as well as to their family members, without being subject to any reduction, modification, suspension, suppression, or retention.
2. Delhi’s Chief Minister revealed his winter action plan.
◉ Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi, has unveiled a 15-point “Winter Action Plan” to combat air pollution over the next winter months.
◉ The ‘Winter Action Plan’, which has 15 points, includes actions to reduce pollution and enhance Delhi’s air quality.
◉ In Punjab, measures have been taken to diversify crops, favor short-duration paddy types, and promote the conversion of stubble into fertilizer or energy.

5. KN Madhusudanan was appointed by the RBI as Dhanalakshmi Bank’s part-time chairman.
◉ After a 21-month vacancy, KN Madhusudanan has been named the part-time chairman of Dhanalakshmi Bank by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
◉ This comes after a 21-month absence of a chairman for the corporation following G Subramonia Iyer’s resignation in December 2021 for personal reasons.
◉ With effect from November 9, 2022, KN Madhusudanan held the position of independent director on the bank’s board before taking it on.
6. As DG of BRO, Lt Gen Raghu Srinivasan succeeds
◉ The Border Roads Organization’s (BRO) 28th director general (DG), Lieutenant General Raghu Srinivasan, has taken over.
◉ In the BRO, he was appointed to the chief position after Lt. Gen. Rajeev Chaudhry retired.
◉ Prior to the promotion, Srinivasan held the position of Commandant at the Pune-based College of Military Engineering.
◉ Mr. Srinivasan graduated from both the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun and the National Defence Academy in Khadakwasla. He was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers in 1987.
◉ On May 7, 1960, the BRO was established with the goal of securing India’s borders through the construction of infrastructure in undeveloped regions of the north and northeastern states.
7. South Indian Bank has selected PR Seshadri as its MD and CEO.
◉ Beginning on October 1, P R Seshadri will serve as the MD and CEO of South Indian Bank.
◉ Murali Ramakrishnan, who held office from October 1, 2020, to September 30, 2023, did so with distinction. He was succeeded by him.

◉ ‘Blaze’ and ‘Tonk’ have been selected as the mascot pair’s names by a unanimous vote, according to the ICC.

10. Men’s Team from India won the gold medal in the 50m Rifle 3P competition.
◉ At the Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2023, shooters Aishwarya Pratap Singh Tomar, Swapnil Kusale, and Akhil Sheoran won gold in the men’s 50m rifle 3P team competition.
◉ Team India won the gold medal with a score of 1769 points.

11. Indian men’s and women’s roller skating teams win bronze.
