1. Adani Green Power has built India’s first wind-solar hybrid power plant.
◉ Adani Hybrid Energy is a hybrid energy company owned by Adani Group. Jaisalmer One Limited has completed the construction of a 390 MW hybrid wind-solar power plant in Jaisalmer.
◉ It is the country’s first wind-solar hybrid power plant.
◉ This is a hybrid power plant that integrates solar and winds power generation to protect renewable energy’s full potential by resolving generation intermittency and rising power demand.
2. India has reached a significant milestone in providing access to potable water.
◉ India has reached the landmark of 50% of rural households (nine crores fifty lakh) having access to running water.
