1. ‘Banking on World Heritage’, a pioneering exhibition, was launched
◉ The first-of-its-kind “Banking on World Heritage” exhibition was opened in New Delhi by Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of Culture and External Affairs.
◉ In a distinctive way, the exhibition showcases banknotes from G20 member countries that feature UNESCO-listed world heritage sites.
◉ Through the use of physical money notes, the exhibition will assist in reuniting today’s youth—who are primarily active on digital platforms—with their cultural legacy.
◉ The G20 nations control 70% of the world’s officially recognized cultural heritage, and the exhibition highlights how these nations have worked together to protect and safeguard this heritage while also introducing the next generation to the magnificence of the past.
◉ The curator of the exhibit is the academic Rukmini Dahanukar.
2. The government introduces mid-career training initiatives under Mission Karmayogi.
◉ Jitendra Singh, a minister for the Union, introduced the mid-career training programme and Mission Karmayogi in New Delhi.
◉ The Indian government’s Mission Karmayogi programme aims to reform human resources management.
◉ The National e-Governance Division (NeGD), which is a part of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), will carry out the programme.

◉ Sabarmati Riverfront Development Corporation Limited and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation created this cruise through a public-private partnership.
◉ With two engines and a cost of Rs 15 crore, the cruise is the nation’s first passenger catamaran, allowing 165 passengers to ride in safety for 1.5 hours.
◉ The cruise is outfitted with 180 life jackets, fire safety equipment, and an emergency rescue boat and was created with the convenience of the citizens in mind.

◉ Afghanistan is followed by Yemen, Syria, Russia, and South Sudan in the Global Peace Index 2022 report. For the previous three years, all of these nations have stayed among the ten least peaceful ones, according to Tolo News.
◉ On a scale of 1 to 163, India is ranked 126th out of 163 nations.

◉ To offer customers speedy and effective transaction banking solutions, the State Bank of India (SBI) has opened 34 Transaction Banking Hubs in the top 21 district centres across the nation.
◉ On the occasion of the bank’s 68th founding anniversary, the hubs were officially opened by SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara.
◉ The biggest bank in India stated that its objective is to satisfy all customer needs and offer complete solutions for their transaction, payment, and collection needs under one roof.

9. Deal for INS Shankush between the defence government and MDL is for Rs.2,725
◉ A deal of Rs 2,725 crore has been reached between the Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL) for the refurbishment and life certification of INS Shankush, a powerful submarine from the SSK class of the Indian Navy.
◉ The Medium Refit with Life Certification (MRLC) project’s objective is to improve the submarine’s fighting abilities.
◉ After MRLC is finished, it is anticipated that the INS Shankush submarine would be combat-ready and integrated into the Indian Navy’s active fleet.
◉ Delivery of the modernised ship, which will be outfitted with improved combat capabilities, is planned for 2026.
