1. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has unveiled a special logo commemorating 75 years of Indo-Dutch diplomatic relations.
◉ This year marks the 75th anniversary of the beginning of diplomatic relations between India and the Netherlands. To celebrate the event, Sanjay Verma, Secretary (West) in the Ministry of External Affairs, and Marten van den Berg, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to India, jointly released a logo on March 2, 2022.
◉ To honor the 75th anniversary, a range of events and activities are planned throughout the year in a variety of cooperation sectors, including water, agriculture, innovation, energy, climate, and culture.
2. Hoegh Giant, India’s First FSRU, Arrives at Jaigarh Energy’s Terminal in Maharashtra
◉ H-Jaigarh Energy’s Terminal in Maharashtra has received India’s first floating storage and regasification unit, the Hoegh Giant (FSRU). The FSRU Höegh Giant arrived in Jaigarh Terminal in Maharashtra on April 12, 2021, after sailing from Singapore’s Keppel Shipyard. This will be the first year-round LNG facility in Maharashtra, as well as India’s first FSRU-based LNG receiving port.
◉ The Höegh Giant, which was built in 2017, has a storage capacity of 1,70,000 cubic metres and can regasify 750 million cubic feet per day (equivalent to about six million tpa). H-Energy has chartered FSRU for a 10-year period.

3. SWISS will be the first airline in the world to use solar aviation fuel.
◉ Swiss International Air Lines AG (SWISS or Swiss Air Lines) and its parent company, the Lufthansa Group, have teamed with Synhelion SA (Synhelion), a Swiss solar fuels start-up, to use its solar aviation fuel.
◉ Swiss International Airlines will be the first airline in the world to use solar aviation fuel (also known as “sun-to-liquid” fuel) to power its flights. In 2023, SWISS will be the first consumer of solar kerosene.

4. The value of UPI transactions has decreased.
◉ India’s cashless retail transactions on the UPI platform totaled Rs 8.27 lakh crore in February, according to data from the National Payments Corporation of India, a little decline from the previous month’s total (NPCI). Transactions totaled 452 crores (4.52 billion) in February 2022.
◉ The value of the automatic collection at toll plazas using NETC FASTag technology grew slightly in February, according to NPCI, with over 24.36 crore transactions (243.64 million) worth Rs 3,631.22 crore.

5. Sanjiv Kapoor has been chosen CEO of Jet Airways until 2022.
◉ Jet Airways has named Sanjiv Kapoor as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kapoor formerly served as the president of Oberoi Hotels and as the chief operating officer of SpiceJet as well as the chief strategy and commercial officer of Vistara.
◉ For three years, he was the Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer of Vistara Airlines, and for two years, he was the Chief Operating Officer of SpiceJet. Jet Airways’ new promoter is the Jalan Kalrock Consortium.

9. Alan Walbridge, an Oscar-winning producer Ladd Jr. has died.
◉ Alan Ladd Junior, the Oscar-winning producer and former executive at Twentieth Century Fox who greenlit “Star Wars” and “Braveheart,” has died at the age of 84. He was fondly referred to as “Laddie.”
◉ In 1995, he received the Academy Award for Best Picture for Mel Gibson’s film “Braveheart.” He was a founding member of the Ladd Company, which was founded in 1979.
10. General S F Rodrigues, the former Chief of the Indian Army, has died.
◉ General S F Rodrigues, the Indian Army’s Chief of Staff from 1990 to 1993, passed dead at the age of 88. From 2004 to 2010, General Sunith Francis Rodrigues served as Governor of Punjab.
◉ He had served on the National Security Advisory Board for two terms. He has been involved in social and literary activities since his retirement, as well as giving several presentations on strategic themes. His outstanding contribution and service to the nation will always be remembered by the nation and the Indian Army.
