1. Introducing the Garvi Gujarat Tour from Indian Railways
◉ Under the “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” Scheme, Indian Railways is introducing the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train.
◉ On February 28, this “Garvi Gujarat” tour will leave from Delhi Safdarjung Station.
◉ This train tour was created to highlight the heritage of vibrant Gujarat in a manner similar to the “Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat” scheme.
◉ The main highlights of the trip would be the stops at important Gujarati pilgrimage and heritage sites, such as the Statue of Unity, Champaner, Somnath, Dwarka, Nageshwar, Beyt Dwarka, Ahmedabad, Modhera, and Patan.
2. An international seminar on “Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage” is held by NTPC.
◉ The largest integrated power company in India, NTPC Ltd, sponsored a global conference on “Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS)” at the first Energy Transitions Working Group (ETWG) meeting held in Bengaluru under the auspices of the G20 India presidency.
◉ More than 200 dignitaries, presenters, panelists, and delegates from different nations took part in the seminar where they offered their knowledge and insights about CCUS during the event.
◉ The event is anticipated to offer up fresh opportunities for academia, downstream low-carbon companies, and other sectors to work and advance for the benefit of People & Planet.
3. 50 buses were donated by India to Sri Lanka as part of the economic assistance program.
◉ 50 buses have been sent from India to Sri Lanka in celebration of the country’s 75th anniversary of independence (4 February).
◉ Ranil Wickremesinghe, the president of Sri Lanka, received these buses from Gopal Baglay, the Indian High Commissioner there.
◉ The Sri Lanka Transport Board had contracted with commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland to provide 500 buses, of which 75 had already been delivered earlier this year.
4. In Jharkhand, Amit Shah set the groundwork for a nano urea plant.
◉ Union In Deoghar, Jharkhand, the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) is building a Rs 450 crore nano urea factory and township. The foundation stone was placed by Home Minister Amit Shah.
◉ India will now have five nano urea plants.
◉ In Gujarat, the first nano urea plant in the world was officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2022.
◉ To combat the imbalanced and excessive use of conventional urea, nano urea enhances crop yield, soil health, and the nutritional quality of products.
5. PM Modi opened the HAL helicopter production facility.
◉ Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL helicopter)’s production facility in Tumakuru has been officially opened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Karnataka).
◉ The Light Utility Helicopters will be produced in the Greenfield Helicopter facility, which spans 615 acres.
◉ It has a helipad, a flight hangar, a hangar for the final assembly of the structure, an assembly hangar, and support services. For its activities, it completely complies with Industry 4.0 standard tools and processes.
◉ In the future, this plant will produce more helicopters than any other in India, providing all-in-one services for maintenance and repair.
◉ A three-ton class, single-engine, multipurpose utility helicopter with special features, the Light Utility helicopter was created in India.
6. At PLASTINDIA 2023, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya presided over the CEO Conclave.

7. First VFS Global Joint Visa Application Center opened by UP CM
◉ Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, has opened the first VFS Global Joint Visa Application Center in Lucknow.
◉ Austria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Estonia, Hungary, Portugal, Germany, Italy, and Saudi Arabia are among the ten nations for whom the new center will make it easier to apply for visas.
