1. Union Minister Piyush Goyal Unveils Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024 Booklet And Logo
◉ Union Minister Piyush Goyal unveiled the booklet and logo for the eagerly awaited “Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024” at a curtain-raiser event in New Delhi.
◉ Held at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, February 1-3, 2024, the exhibition features more than 600 exhibitors from more than 50 nations.
◉ Modern technology will be on display at several specialized shows, such as the Auto Show, ACMA Automechanika, a sizable tire show, urban mobility solutions, the EV Infra Pavilion, and the Battery Tech Pavilion.
2. The airport in Ayodhya is now known as Maharshi Valmiki International Airport and has gained international status.
◉ The designation of Ayodhya Airport as an international airport has received permission from the Union Cabinet. The name of the airport, “Maharishi Valmiki International Airport, Ayodhyadham,” will pay homage to the region’s cultural and historical significance.
◉ In a news statement, the administration stated that to fully realize the city’s economic potential, Ayodhya Airport must be upgraded to an international airport. Moreover, it recognizes Ayodhya’s importance as a destination of worldwide pilgrimage, with the expectation that its international standing will draw visitors and pilgrims from other countries.
◉ The development of the airport will take place in stages. The airport would be able to accommodate 10 lakh (one million) passengers a year in its first phase.
