1. ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited is a company based in India. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with the Karnataka government to establish a green hydrogen project.
◉ ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited has signed an MoU with the Karnataka government to propose an Rs. 51,865 crore investment in the state over the next five years for the construction of a green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Mangaluru, along with a solar power unit.
◉ The corporation would invest Rs. 5,300 crores in the first phase and Rs. 46,565 crores in the second phase.
◉ This will result in the creation of 1,800 employment.
2. The state of Sikkim has been dubbed ‘Blue Duke.’ Butterfly
◉ During World Environment Day, Sikkim’s Chief Minister, S. Golay, declared the Blue Duke the Sikkim State’s Butterfly.
◉ The Forest Department organized the event, which took place at Saramsa Garden near Ranipool.
◉ Blue Duke, a Sikkim native butterfly species, won out over Krishna Peacock, another competitor.
3. President Ram Nath Kovind will open the Sant Kabir Academy in Uttar Pradesh.

7. The Defence Minister agreed to spend Rs. 76,000 crores on Indian-made equipment.
◉ Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the purchase of Indian-made equipment worth Rs. 76,000 crores by the Armed Forces, including next-generation corvettes for the navy, armoured battle vehicles for the army, and engines for the Su 30 MKI fleet for the air force.
◉ The Defence Procurement Council (DAC) was chaired by Rajnath Singh, who backed Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for capital acquisition bids from the armed forces in the ‘Buy (Indian)’, ‘Buy & Make (Indian)’, and ‘Buy (Indian-IDDM)’ categories.
