1. PM Narendra Modi has inaugurated the Rs 11,420 crore Pune Metro Rail Project.
◉ During his 10-minute trip on the Pune Metro, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi launched the Pune Metro Rail Project and talked with differently-abled, visually impaired pupils present inside the metro carriage.
◉ The Pune Metro Rail Project cost a total of INR 11,420 crores to construct. It is 2 kilometers long and features 30 stations.

2. Barcelona will host the Mobile World Congress in 2022.
◉ The 2022 Mobile World Congress (MWC) was held in Barcelona, Spain, from February 28 to March 3, and was organized by the Global System for Mobile Communications Association (GSMA).
◉ This year’s MWC is centered on 5G and maximizing its potential to assist countries and economies, despite the current conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

◉ The Chairperson of the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal has been named by the Central Government as Justice Dhirubhai Naranbhai Patel, Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court (TDSAT).
◉ On June 7, 2019, he was named Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, and he is presently the Chair of TDSAT, just days before his retirement on March 12, 2022.
6. Former Ujjivan Small Finance Bank CEO Nitin Chugh has been appointed as the Deputy Managing Director (DMD) of State Bank of India (SBI) to oversee digital banking activities.
◉ He has been appointed for a three-year first term. Chugh was previously the CEO and managing director of Ujjivan Small Finance Bank. He was the Group Head of Digital Banking at HDFC Bank before he moved there.

10. Haryana Power Purchase Centre and JSW Energy have inked a power purchase agreement.
◉ The Haryana Power Purchase Centre (HPPC) has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with JSW Energy’s Kutehr project for the provision of 240 MW hydropower.
◉ The PPA is in effect for 35 years and can be extended at mutually agreed-upon terms. The PPA was signed at a 4.50/kWh Levelized ceiling tariff (at ex bus-bar).

13. Rod Marsh, a former Australian cricketer, has died.
◉ Rodney William Marsh, a former Australian cricketer (wicketkeeper), died in Adelaide, Australia. He was the first Australian wicketkeeper to score a century in Test cricket, with three centuries to his credit.
◉ He set a Test record with 355 wicketkeeper dismissals, including 95 against paceman Dennis Lillee. From 1970 to 1984, he represented Australia in 96 Test matches and 92 One Day Internationals (ODIs), before retiring from top-flight cricket in February 1984.
